OS Racing Club

The Old Stoic Racing Club (OSRC) is now in its sixth season and we are delighted to continue to have horses in training with two Old Stoic trainers. Jonathan Portman (Chatham 83) is our flat trainer in Lambourn and whilst Alex Hales (Chandos 92) overseeing the jumps just on the outskirts of Banbury.

The Club has received wide support with past pupils (leaving years represented from 1954-2004), parents, their friends plus the occasional staff member of Stowe all involved.

We are always actively looking for past pupils and parents in particular to help us form new syndicates or take shares in existing ones.

Our successes on the course so far include:

Bourbon Beauty (Alex Hales) – winner of the Grade 2 Mares Final at Newbury, March 2021 ridden by Harry Bannister (Chatham 12)

Mild Illusion (Jonathan Portman) – winner of the Listed Bosra Sham Stakes at Newmarket, November 2019

Sweet Reward (Jonathan Portman) – Three time winner during the 2021 season at Goodwood and Sandown twice and second at the famous Glorious Goodwood Festival.
