🚀 The EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative has announced the launch of its Call for Training Proposals! 🌟 Are you passionate about pioneering the future of deep tech education and skill development in Europe? This is your chance to collaborate with the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative and create innovative courses, training programmes, and skills development initiatives aimed at training people in deep tech. EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative is funding up to 20 projects to support forward-thinking proposals that contribute to a sustainable impact in the deep tech ecosystem. The goal is to train one million talents in deep tech by 2025! Who can apply? How to condense more than an hour of interesting content into less than 3000 characters? We tried with the #EITCommunity #INNOVEIT session on 'Empowering deep tech talent' at Hello Tomorrow. This is the outcome: 'With our EIT Community initiatives, we turn theory into practice, practice into outcome and outcome into impact.' said Patricia Paulina Karrer who moderated the session. Natalie CERNECKA from EIT Manufacturing, who leads the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative, explained how the initiative will train one million people deep tech until 2025. Ilaria Tagliavini from EIT pointed out that with more than 130 000 people trained already, and a commitment of 130 organisations to train more than 800 000, the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative successfully bridges the gap between status quo and need. Vera Martinho from JA Europe described the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative as a good opportunity to bring deep tech closer to a younger generation. Mateusz Molasy from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology said, universities needed to do more than teach students hard and soft skills, interdisciplinary working and hands-on learning – they needed to make connections to help them acquire deep tech skills. Mathias Kaldenhoff from SAP pointed to the ability to communicate as the foundation of all deep tech skills and called out the EIT and its innovation hubs as bridging the gap between research and technology to somebody who will use any material, product or service they developed. As a Venture Capitalist, Tobias Weissgerber confirmed that he first looks for a technical USP in a startup when evaluating whether it’s worth investing. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/d3Xitvys
