Hi, I am reviewing the book Cursed by Ashlee Sinn. I received and advanced copy and glad I signed up for it. JT is a shifter who has a lot of responsibility in the town he lives in but is overshadowed by his domineering mother. Este is a newcomer to town who is starting to have weird things happen to her. With JT’s help, Este starts to figure out what she is. Great writing, budding romance and betrayal. Who could want more?

This review is for Cursed by Ashlee Sinn. Shifters and magic- oh my!! Mommy dearest was a real shocker, but the lengths she goes to were beyond my wildest imaginings. I enjoyed seeing the strange connection grow between JT and Estes. Estes has some surprises up her sleeve and she is more than she seems. Intriguing read. Check it out.

My review for Shhh by Sian Claven

This story is up there as one of my ultimate favourites. Sian’s creativity knows no bounds when it comes to writing a great story.
It’s no so much as a horror story but more like a psychological thriller/ horror and I loved it right from the start.

Soul's Day Boxset: Horror and Paranormal Halloween Anthology by numerous USA Today and international bestselling authors is a fantastic buy and a mixture with horrors and paranormal stories (as the title suggests) to tease and tantalise the senses of those who love this genre. Each story is incredibly intriguing and thrilling, compelling and enthralling. It has everything that you can imagine that goes bump in the night.

With great authors:

My Dead Life by Erin Lee is the story of a young woman who has lived with death all her life but what happens when it’s your own death?

A Hallow’s Eve Jinx Part II by Judith Holstrom is the story of returning to your child hood home but returning awakens something in the dark.

Dead Men Rising by Amber Garr is the story of magic and being caught in the middle of magical creatures and entities and not knowing who to trust. But it is a deadly game being played.

Cursed by Ashlee Sinn is a tale of love, a shifter and magic. It is a story of a father who disappears and a woman who needs help. They are more than they seem and with mommy dearest around things are twisted and dangerous.

Daughter of Darkness by L.L. Hunter is the story of one person who has unbelievable abilities inherited from powerful Nephilim and she is in danger. They want her dead.

Drained by Monique Singleton is a tale where bodies are drained, secrets are dark, spirits roam and a Voodoo witch doctor all set in New Orleans.

Revenant by Majanka Verstraete is a spooky tale of ghosts attached to people. Murderers and seeking revenge. She was someone or rather now she was something she didn’t know what. What she did know was that she was dead.

Karma's Karnival by Aubrey Wynne is a historical dark and twisted story set in a carnival and purgatory.

Night Ranger by Stephanie Ayers is the story of the Night Ranger collector of souls needed to release his curse.

The Root of all Evil by D.M. Wolfenden is a fast paced horror story that is thrilling and the fear is palpable when you are cut off from the outside world.

Finders Keepers by Maggie Tideswell is a paranormal romance where our main character is sent to marry a man she doesn’t know and what she finds is a world of horror.

Shhh by Sian B. Claven is a psychological thriller where the author gets creative and nothing is quite as it seems in the new world of hearing.

Dungeons and Demons book 2 by Kayla Krantz is one of those stories like those movies where you yell at the tv and tell them not to open the door or where the killer is. Demons are rife and murders are happening and being singled out in high school.

The Guardian’s Nightmare by Yvette Bostic is a good story where the characters are more than they seem and a terrible fight that calls the Guardian to help. But how do you stop evil that is never ending?

Hidden in the Dark by Brandy Nacole – what happens when the dead come hunting the living? Will she be next?

Jilted by Azaa Davies is an urban paranormal story of a missing husband and a world of shifters she knew nothing about. Nothing is as perfect as she wants to believe.

Still Breathing in My Dreams by Jennifer Fish-Ferguson is the story of one woman who finds out that she and others in the world are so much more than ordinary and different.

Chimera by Lea Cherry is a tale of going camping in a haunted forest and on Halloween. Simple right? Nothing could be more haunting, you will never look at camping in quite the same way.

Little Golden Locket by Scarlet Le Clair is the harrowing tale of four friends and their visit to and island where they believed the stories where just stories but found they so much more.

I received an ARC of one of the books in this boxset - the one by Yvette Bostic – Guardian’s Nightmare. I have read other books by this author so I knew I would enjoy it. I planned on reading a few chapters each day over a week or so. This book had other ideas. It ruined all of my plans for the weekend. Whatever could be put off, was; housework, exercise, studying. It’s a good job I started reading it on a Friday night or my boss would not have been happy with me reading instead of working.

This book is great. From page one you are hooked and want to know more. The way you are introduced to the main characters and slowly find out about them and what they are is done perfectly. There is an element of mystery throughout this story which is intriguing. I usually rush through books, but I made sure I slowed down for this one as I didn’t want to miss anything. It wasn’t easy though.

I think this is the author’s best work to date. I hope she does a follow-up. If the other books in this box set are even half as good as this one, it will be definitely worth buying. This book has made me place a pre-order for the boxset

My review is for Cursed by Ashlee Sin. A shifter who seems to hold the power, although JT doesn't fully relise this as yet. A quiet however a strong independent person and son to a sick kissing father and detached cold mother. JT with the help if his best friend and lawyer Ben seem to keep tabs on the shifters in town.
Estes is a traveler who comes to town and immediately catches JT's eye and finds himself captivated by her. Estes discovers that she is more than she thought. What happens now.
This was a good story about the shifter and their secrets.

This review is for The Root of all Evil by DM Wolfenden

This is a well written horror story with vividly painted scenes and a fast paced story line. The author does a great job pulling you in , waiting to see what happens. You can feel the terror, fear and anxiety Kris feels as she tries to stay alive. Thrilling short story.

This is a compilation of tales of the paranormal and horror variety, it is all themed around All Hallows Eve, or Halloween to most.

The stories in this set range from the view of death from the viewpoint of the living in a mortuary, a haunted house which kills those who enter it in a gruesome manner to a necromancer making tough choices in order to survive.

It also includes the romance between a shifter and a witch in a town surrounded in danger and intrigue where revelations can become life threatening and a teenager in need of training and aid is coming out of hiding and discovering that she is more talented she thought and also more dangerous, but will she be able to juggle life’s challenges or become the danger everyone fears?

The discovery of a dead body which looks like an ancient mummy is only the start of this violent and graphic story for those over 18 only and a woman on a mission to avenge the deaths of ghosts she can see attached to the living, but only after the questions she has have been answered, but how did she become like this and how does she get her answers? Only she knows that.

Next is the Karma Karnival but it isn’t all candyfloss and corn dogs, this is a Karnival with a twist, it is where those who have died learn where they will spend their death, but where this will be only the newly arrived Lord and Lady Karma know as they repent for Lord Karma’s sins .

It also contains the story of the Night Ranger as he waits to capture the last four souls he owes so that he can remove the curse placed upon him, but will he get them, or will another deal be struck in its place?

It’s Halloween night and Kris cannot sleep, but when she hears a scream ringing out and intruders in her idyllic home, can she and her husband survive the night or will these intruders be more than he can handle?

A woman has surgery to see and hear again, but as Halloween approaches, was this surgery the best idea, or will she be lost to her new world of sights and sounds? The woods at the edge of town seem to be the perfect place to play a game of dungeons and dragons, but will this group of boys survive the game when their Dungeon Master is an estranged classmate with a plan?

A forest guardian filled with spirits and a knight with magically powered swords clash, but does their future lie together and alive or separate and dead? Two sisters, MaryAnn and Ester enter the woods a night, despite the warnings of their grandfather, but when MaryAnn is taken from her, Ester escapes to run home and her grandfather, who retrieves MaryAnne’s body from the woods, but nobody believes how she died, apart from him, but why is she not able to mourn her sister and instead is still .fearful for her life and will the darkness now come back for her?

Theresa has it all, a booming following on social media, a job as an administrative assistant a clinic where she met her fiance, but on her wedding night, it all changes and s when her husband disappears, she has to uncover his secrets and save the life that she has built, but will she be able to do it? Irenna is an artist and that is all she wants to do with her life, but when she has to go on a trip with the worst person she can think of travelling with, her tormentor, she realises that their futures are bound in a way she she could never imagine, but in what way is what she has to discover.

Finally, a camping trip in the woods on Halloween sounds like a great idea to Raven and her friends, but that changes when they are being picked off one by one by something in the woods, but what is it that is hunting them and what happens to her friends once they disappear? All the while, another group of friends learn that they should have listened to the old ghost stories that people told them, but when they realise that they shouldn’t have taken the boat to the Island, it is too late to see how their lives would have panned out, but how this one day will change their lives, nobody knows, apart from the woman who is after them.

For a spine tingling and blood chilling box set, this one hits the mark, so what are you waiting for, dig in to these halloween themed tales for a worthwhile scare.

Soul’s Day Box Set: Horror and Paranormal Halloween Theme Anthology is a superb collection of stories from 19 talented authors. As the title would suggest, all the stories have a bit of a spooky, darkish theme- cleverly woven to give all the chills and thrills. The stories are all very quick, easy, and enjoyable reads. This is definitely one of the most interesting anthologies that I have read. All the stories are entertaining, intriguing, and well-rounded. The book contains the work of some authors who I am familiar with, but also has a lot of stories by authors writers are new to me. So, this book has been a fantastic introduction to these new (to me) authors- as well as allowing me to catch up with the work from authors that I know and love.
You may have noticed that I have read quite a lot of anthologies lately, as I am enjoying the diversity of stories that can be found within an anthology, and appreciate that I can enjoy many stories that all have a common theme and inspiration.
There are 19 superb stories from 19 talented authors. What better way to spend a day than curled up with a book that will keep you entertained with plenty of thrills and chills.

I loved reading this anthology. Some stories will have chills running up and down your spine. Some stories have you checking under the bed, just in case. Some stories include the paranormal. I enjoyed the shifter stories. I love anthologies as I get to read stories from authors that I know and also discover new ones as well. Some of the stories included are: Karma Karnival by Aubrey Wynne – This is a story about a most unusual Karnival. What is in store for those who come there? Also Drained - By Monique Singleton, The Guardian’s Nightmare – By Yvette Bostic, Dungeons and Demons Part Two – By Kayla Krantz, and Jilted – By Azaaa Davis. All of the authors have done an amazing job of making their stories and characters come alive. These are stories that will have you wondering what is going to happen next. All jokes aside, I was pretty entertained by each and every story and how it played out. Pick this up and you won't be disappointed in the least!

This was an awesome anthology that was the right amount of spooky for the time of year. I love sinking myself into horror stories and I enjoyed every one of these. It was difficult to pick one to review but I eventually settled on Karma Karnival by Aubrey Wynne.

I’m a sucker for historical horror stories, don’t know why but I always find them so much more chilling than horror stories set in the modern era. This story was so well written and kept me hooked right to the very end. Ellie is wife to the Earl of Karmaughton and as such is used to not being listened to on the matter of business, in spite of the fact that she has more of an idea when shit is going to hit the proverbial, then any of the other men that snap around him, trying to but in their two cents. The Earl, Percy, soon dies to regret taking his wife seriously, as one of his business ventures land them being involved in an accident that takes their lives. Ellie, the awesome Ellie, being the sweetheart that she is, doesn’t hold a grudge but is determined to save her husband's soul from the eternal damnation of hell by guiding him through Purgatory. What this means is, Percy, who’s been so used to not worrying about the collateral damage his business ventures lead to, has to think about others for a change and under Ellie’s watchful gaze help other lost souls repent for their sins.

I really enjoyed the premise, it was unlike anything else that I’ve ever read. Wynne is a very talented author and I love the fact that this story, although still in keeping with the spooky nature of the rest of the box set, had a redeeming element to it which I always think is important in these types of books as everything can get a little too heavy and miserable.

Really recommend this Anthology, all the authors are brilliant and have penned some really memorable tales that will both chill and thrill you.

This is a great box set that has a collection of spooky and paranormal stories by nineteen awesome authors. There is something for everyone in this box set. Each story is unique and will keep you reading. One of my favorite stories is Karma’’s Karnival. This is a story that is dark and engaging. The author’s attention to detail made you feel as if you are right there with the characters. It made the history portions easy to read and entertaining. Ellie made such a great character, not only connectable, strong but lovable too. I loved each story and the suspense was just what I needed on a cold afternoon. I highly recommend this book.

☀️☀️ONE AWESOME ANTHOLOGY☀️☀️
Spectacular! This extremely talented and impressive group of authors came together for one tremendous treat, rocking your world and keeping it real, launching this jewel to a whole new level. A raging tempest of dubious mishaps and suspicious events, observing the formidable trials and hard fought triumphs, stumbling through the deadly twists and thrilling turns, putting our characters through their pacing, propelling this collection to life brilliantly. Each individual story is incredibly thrilling, compelling and intense with separate plots, hungers, passions and destinations, each different and unique, with all the vivacity and fervor, wrapping this gem up sleek, shiny and tight. Braided, banded and tightly bound, baring the terrifying quirks and defying bents, unveiling profound emotions with such intensity and fervor, wrapping this gem up sleek shiny and tight. The characters, dialogue, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits, adding depth and diversity, transforming into genuinely charismatic personalities. The scenes are abundantly descriptive with colorful details that blend and flow, creating a majestic backdrop that's so rich and lively it feels as though you were transported to ground zero with them. This is an awesome box set from a variety of different authors all writing slightly different haunting stories. These stories are very well-written with interesting and unique well-crafted characters. Each story I enjoyed reading, but I am writing an individual review for one specific book below:

Jilted in A Soul's Day Boxset Story by Azaaa Davis is an awesome story that I has very well-developed characters. These characters are believably well-crafted and react in a realistic manner. I was very interested in this story and invested in the outcome.
This awesome story is one of many in this great box set called Soul's Day Boxset: Horror and Paranormal Halloween Anthology written by a lot of awesome authors that I enjoyed reading and so will anyone who loves haunting stories. I give Soul's Day Boxset: Horror and Paranormal Halloween Anthology 5 stars.

This collection of horror and paranormal is perfect for any time of the year in my opinion, but especially fitting around the spooky time of the year. Based around Halloween and/or All Soul's Day, this set is so eclectic, you will not be disappointed at all. While I had my favorites (a girl who grows up in a funeral parlor, a carnival in purgatory, strange happenings in an eerie motel, a necromancer), all these stories are quite good. They are all written so well and each one is very unique from the next. These authors obviously have such wonderful imaginations and I will definitely be following up on some of the new to me authors.

If you like things that go bump in the night and things this side of normal, I highly recommend this set. However, you may need to leave the lights on and ignore that noise in the other room...

Cursed is the first book in Ashlee Sinn’s new Shifters of Salem Series. It is one of 19 paranormal romance stories shared by USA Today and international bestselling authors in the Soul’s Day Boxset. This great story is written in first person from the point of view of both the heroine, JT Corwin and Estes MacAnndra.

In this short story, JT Corwin has it all but what he wants most is love. However, between his missing father and callous mother he just doesn’t know when that will happen, until he meets Estes, a mysterious woman with a dangerous secret. Estes is tired of the dishonest life she has been leading and longs for an honest and simple life, but when her partner leaves her hanging, she turns to JT, a man who has given her something to hope for. Will this budding relationship be enough to save them when the town turns against them? Read it and find out!

All the books in Ashlee Sinn’ series a contain a happily ever after and although they share the same world and many characters they can be read as a standalone. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced readers copy.

Thank you for the ARC read. I voluntarily give this book of Cursed by Ashlee Sinn an honest review. One mysterious disappearing father and a woman in need, JT's life is never simple. Some part of TJ calls out to the woman but can he trust in her with the way his life is right now? Bringing her to his home may or may not been a wise choice. Estes is leaving the con-game, only her partner had other ideas now she is a pickle, only one man is her one call. Seeing auras wasn't new but the inner thoughts was, what had Lachlan done to her? Can she trust the shifter to help her and what was really going on in this town. Wow All Hollow's eve is upon Salem with the twitching of the wind brings family drama and a mystery. cant wait to hear more of Estes and TJ. Laughed so much and when the twins meet the wicked aunty.

Haunting short stories

There are such a variety of stories in this collection. Some have you stopping and thinking about choices you make and others leave you creeped out. I did enjoy Ashlee Sinn's story Cursed about JT and Estes. He helps her out only for her to save him later. Some of the stories in the collection are better than others and at least one ends in a cliffhanger which I don't like. But it's always nice to read short stories and find new authors.

I just love a box set of themed books! Throw in the fact that it is my favorite theme, Spooky Season, and I am in legit heaven. I scooped this gem up as soon as it released and it kept me in the spirit of the spooky season all season long! I loved that some of these were new to me authors so now I have a list of new TBR’s to read soon as well as it featuring some of my favorite authors. (cause we all need a longer TBR right? LOL!) One of the stories that stuck out to me the most was Karma’s Karnival by Aubrey Wynne. This book was a thrill ride to read and I am anxious to see what its future will be with this new series from her. It has so many layers to it but honestly the scare was easy to enjoy. Who doesn’t love a good karnival? Throw in Purgatory and you have quite the adventure! I will share the names of the authors included below of the other reads, all are worthy of at least 4 stars if not more! This set is one you do not want to miss!

My review is Cursed by Ashlee Sinn. We meet Estes who hates to deceive people but she’s so good at it that she can’t help herself. JT confronts her and she gets away from him. But when she gets in trouble she goes to him. But there is things going on that will make for a intriguing and interesting storyline. This was a wonderful story to be in this collection of stories and just in time for Halloween! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

This is such a gripping anthology and I really enjoyed how varied the stories were. One of my favs was Cursed by Ashlee Sinn. This story focused on a stressed out alpha, JT, and a psychically talented scam artist, Estes. There is mystery, magic, danger, betrayal, action and sizzling chemistry. The descriptions were very clear and I was totally engrossed in what they were dealing with and rooting for them to find an HEA. This set has so many great authors and wonderful stories and I recommend checking out this collection for some spooky fun ;)

Karma’s Karnival by Aubrey Wynne is one of the books in the Soul’s Day Boxset. Let me tell you that all the books in this Halloween Anthology are amazing but the best one for me is Karma’s Karnival. I had to read this book in the middle of the day because I was a little scared of what was going to be coming around every corner. When you go to Karnival’s custom sideshow, you will always get a prize. It may not be the one you are thinking of but there is a winner. This sideshow is dark and you can see in your mind’s eye everything because of Aubrey Wynne’s descriptive writing. I highly recommend this story. The other books in this anthology are good too. The authors have come together with eye-opening horror and paranormal storylines in everyone. If you are looking for a spooky read I recommend all of these books.
