THE WILDED PROGRAMME

Our WildED Programme is delivered in secondary schools and youth groups in
under-resourced areas across the UK. Through inspiring workshops, offsite visits, expert guidance and hands-on activities, young people deepen their connection and understanding of the natural world, gain practical skills, knowledge and confidence, and emerge as young leaders motivated to drive further change in their communities.

WildED consists of:

1. Deeper connections

A series of workshops connect young people to nature, build their sense of place and enable critical thinking about the drivers of environmental issues.

2. Inspiring visits

Visits to awe-inspiring places in nature where young people lead positive action with a community partner and gain new skills and confidence.

3. Practical projects

Young people create their vision for change and deliver projects and campaigns to turn this into a reality, with expert guidance and funding.

4. Lasting change

Projects are embedded in schools and showcased to the wider community, and young people access further mentoring and support.

Action for Conservation has not just inspired our students but has also given them practical ways of acting on their inspiration. Their staff were friendly, engaging and highly effective at communicating the urgency and relevance of environmental conservation.
