Our Work

The Urban Cycling Institute is a non-profit research and education  organization, driven by our mission to transform urban cycling environments and transition towards healthy, just, and active cities. Our work rests on the shoulders of giants and supports concerns laid out in the many existing global and pan-European visions, as well as the decades of academic research on sustainable mobility.

“Our top priority is to nurture a global network of knowledgeable and empowered leaders who drive action in their communities”

With the practice of urban and transportation planning a missing link is a comprehensive resource whose sole mission is to translate cycling research for actionable responses in practice. The services, products, and collaborations of the Urban Cycling Institute serve as a crucial resource for urban planning and transport practitioners, academia and educators, policymakers, and business and community leaders all over the globe.
