I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics at Trinity College Dublin  and member of CESifo Research Network.

My fields of research are gender and labor economics.  Within gender economics, I specialize in intimate partner violence and gender norms.  Within labor economics, I am interested in how to retain and motivate talented workers.

My work combines simple theoretical models with credible empirical identification strategies. This allows me to highlight the mechanisms behind the findings and to simulate alternative policies.

I joined Trinity in 2017 after obtaining my Ph.D. in Economics from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Barcelona Graduate School of Economics. I completed my undergraduate in Colombia and pursued my graduate studies at HEC Lausanne. I also worked as a Research Fellow at the Research Department of the Inter-American Development Bank.
