KEIGHLEY people are being urged to have their say on improvement projects for the town.

Ideas for more than 50 initiatives have been collated by the Keighley Town Deal Board.

And from Tuesday, December 22, details will be posted online – at bradford.gov.uk/regeneration/towns-fund/keighley-town-fund – for the public to provide feedback.

A decision will then be made about which projects should be put forward for support from the Towns Fund, a Government programme providing up to £25 million for Keighley.

Ian Hayfield, chairman of the Keighley Town Deal Board and director of Hayfield Robinson property consultants, said: “I’m extremely proud of the way we’ve worked together to develop a vision, objectives and project ideas that will deliver real economic and social change for everyone in Keighley – despite everything Covid-19 has thrown at us. The project ideas being proposed are really exciting.”

Councillor Alex Ross-Shaw, Bradford Council’s portfolio holder for regeneration, planning and transport, said: “I would like to encourage everyone to have their say when we share our projects. Our finished town investment plan needs to be a true Keighley-wide effort.”
