It was a great app until: 1.I had a driver refuse to pick us up. He never came. To the location. Just kept driving out the way and the translation in the chat did not make sense. 2.I had a driver ask for a different price, which we agreed, then decided to change the vehicle with a different license plate. 3. At the end of the ride the price randomly increased. It was the same during the entire trip, when I opened the app at the end of the trip it was the same then suddenly changed.

Their scooter rental service is really useful. And their payment system works without any muss or fuss (email billing shows that the prices match with what they claim their prices should be). And in good weather, you can sometimes get where you need to go faster than requesting a driver... and for less money. (especially in the center of town, like Porto or Lisbon)

I was traveling with two other women and we had a very pleasant experience with Bolt. We got lost in Budapest and requested a ride-- 3 minutes later our driver arrived and immediately jumped out to help us with our luggage. The ride was extremely fast, smooth and professional. I'm not sure where all these negative experiences are from because I will definitely be utilizing Bolt again.
