Software Overview includes logging into and out of the workstation, navigating the main software components, navigating online help, and checking system alerts.

Welcome to the Atellica® Solution Software Overview Online Training Course. You have completed the Atellica® Solution Software Overview Online Training course. Listed below are the key points that have been presented.  Take time to review the material before you proceed to the final quiz.  Identify the steps to sign into and out of the workstation   Each Atellica Solution operator should sign into the workstation using a unique username and password. For security purposes, signing out of the system is recommended when the operator is finished. The Sign Out icon can be accessed on the Status Bar.   Navigate the software to access system functions and information   The system uses three areas of the screen to access system functions and information: Command Bar Workspace Status Bar An Alert Bar can be found above the Command Bar: Can be accessed to view, filter and acknowledge system alerts. The color of the Alert Module tab designates the status of system alerts and defines them as system errors or warnings. Each tab and subtab of the Command Bar that has an associated alert will display red or yellow until the alert is resolved. The Command bar provides access to system functions and information for performing and managing laboratory activities by accessing: System Samples Inventory Calibration QC Patient Orders Test results Maintenance Setup The Status bar on the bottom of the screen contains current system information and icons for quick access to functions. Locate and navigate the Online Help The Online Help system is organized into sections including: Help Troubleshooting A Search, Library, and Quicklinks function provide the operator with quick access to information.   Each Atellica® Solution operator should sign into the workstation using a unique username and password. Once the operator has finished with the analyzer signing out is recommended for security of the system.   Sign in and Out Learn about how to sign in and out of the workstation. Slide NumberText BlocksCalloutsAudio ScriptImage File1Commonly accessed tools during daily operation of the Atellica® Solution System include: System Samples Inventory Calibration QC Patient Orders Worklist Maintenance Setup The Command bar provides access to all system functions and information about the Atellica Solution; and allows the operator to perform and manage laboratory activities.2System Command Bar Icon The System icon allows the operator to access various workspaces including: Status Logs Operator Diagnostics About The Systems icon provides the operator access to overall system information. The status workspace displays system alerts. Additionally, the status of each module can be viewed. The logs tab allows the operator to access the operator event log, system message log as well as the LIS, LAS and audit trail logs. Operator Diagnostics allows the operator to manually manipulate the analyzer during maintenance or troubleshooting. Certain diagnostic procedures require the operator to manually move hardware, initialize, prime, and open and close covers. The operator can safely enter the analyzer into a diagnostic state, halting the mechanics to perform these procedures. The operator exits the diagnostic state after the maintenance or troubleshooting is complete. The About tab displays the software and system versions. Note, the information displayed on the Status screen will vary depending on the system configuration.3Samples Command Bar Icon The Samples Icon allows the operator to track and manage patient, calibration, and control samples. From this workspace an operator can access: Sample Handler Sample List Note: The Sample Handler window is only displayed in configurations with Sample Handler module.  When Samples is selected the following options may be available based on your configuration; Sample Handler and Sample List. These tabs allow an operator to filter and search for samples as well as monitor calibration and quality control availability. 4Inventory Command Bar Icon The Inventory workspace allows a user to access and manage reagents and system supplies. From this workspace an operator can access: Reagent Overview Reagent Loader Reagent Needs Supplies Overview Reagent Lot Comparison Cal-QC Storage Inventory ​Cal-QC Needs The Inventory icon gives operators access to the reagent and supplies workspaces and allows for management of consumables. The Reagent Overview, Reagent Loader, Reagent Needs, and Reagent Lot comparison screens provide information about the onboard reagents including the location and availability of the reagent packs as well as the status of the reagent loader system. The Supplies overview tab allows an operator to check the waste and supplies status of each system. The Cal-QC Storage Inventory and Cal-QC Storage Needs screens provide information about the status of the materials in the Cal-QC Storage Area.5Calibration Command Bar Icon The Calibration workspace allows an operator to create calibration orders and report and display their status. From this workspace an operator can access: Calibration Overview Create Calibration Orders Calibration Results Calibrator Definitions IMT Calibration Note: The IMT Calibration window is only used in systems connected to a Chemistry analyzer.The calibration icon provides access to tabs that provide general calibration information and workspaces that allow an operator to perform calibration tasks. These screens can be accessed to create calibration orders, review calibration results and view or add new calibrator definitions. Note, some tasks performed in this workspace require the appropriate security privilege. 6QC Command Bar Icon The QC workspace allows the operator to create QC orders, view QC, define rules for monitoring QC tests, display QC results, and access QC and QC profile definitions. From this workspace an operator can access: Create QC Orders Control Bracketing QC Statistics Patient QC Flagging QC Definitions QC Panels QC Scheduler Note: The Control Bracketing window is only used in systems connected to an Immunoassay analyzer.  There are many functions available in the Quality Control workspace allowing operators to create QC orders, add QC definitions, configure flagging patient results that have a QC statistics violation as well as schedule QC testing to run automatically. The QC statistics workspace will be used routinely when reviewing QC. Here you can access current QC results, analyze data, review QC event messages, and access tools for maintenance of control files and configuration of settings. 7Patient Orders Command Bar Icon The Patient Orders icon gives an operator access to create, display, and edit patient and batch orders. From this workspace an operator can access: Create Patient Orders Create Batch Order by Rack ID Create Batch Orders by SID Edit Multiple Orders View Batch Orders  The Patient Orders icon gives operators access to workspaces to create patient orders, individually or in batches, and edit and view patient orders. 8Worklist Command Bar Icon The Worklist workspace is primarily used to view test orders and test results. From this workspace an operator can access: Worklist Overview Monitoring Lab Metrics The Worklist workspace is primarily used to view test orders and test results. From this workspace, the System turnaround time for patient samples can also be viewed. 9Maintenance Command Bar Icon The Maintenance workspace provides access to workspaces that allow an operator to schedule and create maintenance procedures, monitor automated procedures, generate maintenance reports, and view a maintenance log of activities. From this workspace an operator can access: Schedule ​Report Log ​IMT Data Restore Software Updates Copy Configuration The Maintenance workspace gives an operator access to workspaces that will allow them to view the maintenance activity schedule as well as generate maintenance reports and review the maintenance log. IMT data can also be accessed through the Maintenance icon as well as information regarding software updates; and the ability to restore a database backup and copy current configuration settings.10Setup Command Bar Icon The Setup workspace provides access to test definition information and configuration of basic system operations. From this workspace an operator can access: Test Definition Settings Accounts   The Setup icon gives an operator access to workspaces where test definitions can be modified and system settings can be configured. Account configuration including the ability to create and modify groups within the software can also be accessed in the Setup workspace. Note, operators must have the appropriate security privileges to modify some settings. The Status bar on the bottom of the screen contains current system information and icons for quick access to functions. Information on the Status bar includes: The ID of the active operator The current date and time   Status Bar Learn about the Status Bar functions.
