Our thanks to all of you who have already sent a letter to Queen’s Park opposing any provincially imposed changes to our existing two-tier government and to service delivery here in Oakville and Halton.
The Ontario Legislature recessed for the summer on June 7 and will not return until October 28, likely delaying a decision on the Regional Government Review until after the federal election. During this 5-month break, we are determined to continue making our voices heard by Queen’s Park and our local MPPs. For those of you who have not yet had an opportunity to do so, we ask that you please take a minute to send a letter.
To date, we have raised approximately $25,000 in support of our campaign, with most of it being used to communicate our message through our website and mailers and with lawn signs. A special thanks to all of you who have already contributed. If you have not done so already, please consider making a donation, small or large, as these funds are critical to keeping our campaign going.
Over the summer months, the work on our campaign will continue, and we encourage you to stay informed by visiting our website and subscribing to our e-newsletter. We also invite you to drop by our table at Midnight Madness on July 19 in Downtown Oakville and at Art in the Park on August 5 at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park.
