Horizon Europe Brokerage Event for Cluster 6 - Calls 2024

Welcome to the

Horizon Europe Cluster 6 Calls 2024 Brokerage Event

We are re-opening our matchmaking portal for the Horizon Europe Cluster 6 - Calls 2024! Our website will stay open for registration and online matchmaking until 25th December 2023.

The network of National Contact Points for Cluster 6, CARE4BIO, invites you to participate in the on-site networking event in Brussels on 26 September for the upcoming 2024 calls in Horizon Europe Cluster 6 'Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment'! The brokerage event complements the European Commission's Cluster 6 Infodays for the 2024 calls, which will take place on 27 and 28 September at the same venue.

Further information about the Cluster 6 Infodays and the possibility to register are available on this website. Please note that separate registrations are required for the brokerage event and the Infodays!

The CARE4BIO brokerage event (#CARE4BIOBrokerage) will be dedicated to consortium building. The objective is to gather all relevant stakeholders intending to apply for funding in the Horizon Europe Cluster 6 Calls 2024. The main part of the event will comprise bilateral meetings between participants from Europe and beyond interested in the same topics, seeking to share new project ideas and find collaboration partners. Thus, the brokerage event will help you to build your consortium for the for the upcoming Horizon Europe Cluster 6 Calls 2024.

Participants can pre-arrange the bilateral meetings by means of a user-friendly match-making tool based on the profiles of other participants. In addition to the bilateral meetings between potential project partners, participants will also be able to meet with representatives from network projects of other clusters, the EEN, as well as with the NCPs from the CARE4BIO project. This represents an opportunity for attendees to draw on personalised support and information.

The event programme will also provide participants a platform to present their project ideas in 5 minute flash presentations.

Participation is free of charge, but registration is mandatory. The organisers reserve the right to close the registration before the specified date if the maximum capacity is reached!

Please note that registration does not automatically guarantee that you will be accepted as a participant.
When registering, please fill in at least one Project Cooperation profile stating what exactly you offer or request within the scope of the topic(s). The organisers will check and validate each individual profile and only then admit you to the event. In order to be validated, you must meet certain quality criteria (see 'How it works')!

If you do register and are accepted to the Brokerage Event we ask you to cancel your participation in case you are no longer able to attend. The Brokerage Event has limited participation capacity and any newly available spots can be distributed among a waiting list. CARE4BIO reserves the right to limit participation of unexcused no-shows in future events.

Who should attend the networking?

The networking event is targeted at anyone interested in participating in projects in the Horizon Europe Cluster 6 calls 2024, such as:

  • Universities
  • Research Centres
  • Private companies (including SMEs and large companies)
  • Municipalities
  • Associations/Federations
  • Public authorities/Governmental organisations
  • NGOs
  • Clusters, Hubs
  • Stakeholders engaged in R&D

Future coordinators and interested partners from all European Member States, Associated Countries and beyond are invited to join the event. Participants from widening countries are particularly welcome!

Why participate?

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • find consortium partners with particular expertise
  • present, discuss and refine project ideas with potential partners on an international level
  • initiate cross-border contacts, build collaborations and join Horizon Europe consortia

The organisers expect demand for participation to be high. Priority will be given to registrants who provide high quality cooperation profiles. Participation is limited to two people representing the same department/organisation.

Thematic focus

The networking focuses on following Horizon Europe – Cluster 6 Calls 2024:

  • Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services
  • Fair, healthy and environmentally-friendly food systems from primary production to consumption
  • Circular economy and bioeconomy sectors
  • Clean environment and zero pollution
  • Land, ocean and water for climate action
  • Resilient, inclusive, healthy and green rural, coastal and urban communities
  • Innovative governance, environmental observations and digital solutions in support of the Green Deal

Flash presentations

Participants are also invited to present their project ideas addressing topics from the Cluster 6 calls 2024 in short 'flash presentations'. Interest in presenting a flash presentation can be indicated at registration. These presentations should preferably be made by prospective project coordinators. A presentation template will be provided by the event organisers.

Important issues

This brokerage event is looking to help coordinators and partners to further improve and develop their project idea and to find potential collaboration partners, and is not a unique ‘buyer – seller’ event.

The brokerage event should similarly not be used by consultants to sell their advisory services to clients. Consultants with specific expertise who wish to become partners of Horizon Europe projects are welcome, provided they are able to describe and demonstrate this expertise, e.g. by providing references for previous Horizon 2020 or Horizon Europe projects in which they have been involved.
