Ella Schiek loved Valley Christian School and she loved Jesus! In honor of Ella, the Schiek family would like to bless three Valley Christian families with a $500 scholarship that will go toward tuition and/or other school fees. One scholarship will be awarded to a student from kindergarten through second grade, one to a student from third through fifth grade and the final one for a student in the current seventh grade, which was Ella’s class. Each student interested in applying will write a short essay on “Why I love Valley Christian School and how I am closer to God by going to this school”. Students are asked to use the template below to write their paragraphs. Parental assistance is allowed for the younger group. Students in third through fifth & 7th grades are encouraged to do their own writing but parents are allowed to help them organize their thoughts. There is no minimum requirement for number of words or paragraphs. Applications are due on Friday, May 8 at 8:15 am. All essays will be evaluated anonymously by the Schiek Family and scholarship winners will be announced at the Awards ceremonies.
