News from the Board of the
Lake Shamineau Lake Improvement District
Selection of Engineering Firm
On March 22nd, the Board of Directors selected Widseth Smith Nolting (WSN) for the engineering project and entered into contract negotiations. On April 15th, the Board of Directors approved the WSN agreement for services. The agreement includes 3 steps: 1) Complete a route analysis in the NE area with emphasis on infiltration and update the feasibility report; 2) Complete a preliminary design and provide an estimate of total project costs for the High Water solution; and 3) Plans and permitting.

Visit the LID website for a summary of the Agreement with WSN for the High-Water project.
The Board will soon be forming a project team made up of County, Soil and Water, DNR, property owners and Board members for communication and feedback as we move through the High-Water project.
Establishment Order
Morrison County recently sent a letter to Lake Shamineau LID members regarding revisions to the Order of Esta blishment . T he LSLID Board of Directors provided edits and comments to the County for these revisions. On December 21, 2018, the Directors provided several edits that were not incorporated into this recent version.

We are concerned with six of the revisions made by the County, including adding clause number 7 which would allow Morrison County to pass on costs related to management and administration of the LSLID. We recently sent a response to the County regarding our concerns which is posted on our website.
