The privatisation of the 185, 184 and 45a bus routes in Wicklow has been a disaster. 

Since GoAhead took over the operation of the routes there has been a serious deterioration in these routes. On a daily basis there are cancellations and buses not showing up. Many people have been left stranded and being left in dangerous situations when the last buses scheduled fail to show up.

This has created a situation were people are now having to get back into their cars or make alternative arrangements as they can no longer rely on the buses operated by GoAhead.

The National Transport Authority (NTA) who issued the licence to GoAhead to operate these routes has failed to hold them to account and address serious issues.

The Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan must now revoke the licence from GoAhead and allow Dublin Bus operate these routes again.
