Before I Die

Live hard. Love harder.

Up until this point, I’ve been living my life for everyone but me. Trapped under my controlling mother’s expectations and rules.

My only escape—a carefully guarded list of things I can only dream of doing.
One by one, I slowly find the courage to start living.

And that dream becomes a reality the moment my lips crash against a mysterious stranger’s in a drunken attempt to check another item off my list.
In a single night everything changes.

I wasn't prepared for the explosion between us, or how that one kiss would change the course of my entire life.

Ethan Romero is the complete opposite of everything I’ve ever known. He’s the dark to my light. The corruption to my innocence.

He’s showing me that life is more than a list to be checked off. It’s about living in the moment so you don’t miss the ones not on the list—the ones you didn’t even know you wanted.

BEFORE I DIE: Is a full length contemporary romance novel by new to me author 'Nikki Ash.' Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.'

x

Before I die was phenomenal!…full of suspense, heartache, and forgiveness. This book pulled me in so effortlessly, I couldn't, didn't want to put it down, inhaled, devoured, completely and utterly fell under this authors spell!! Seconds, minutes, hours was spent loving every single thing I was reading..

So many unexpected moments, first off I didn’t expect the religious aspect to be so ingrained in this book, but it just suited our heroine and the storyline perfectly. I also didn’t expect the little twists and turns the author threw my way, but god did I love them, it just upped this book to becoming extra special! I absolutely adored this book and loved how unique this was, this zapped me in the feels straight away, I was all in, head, heart and soul, such a beautiful emotional story.

Go to a club ✔︎
Get drunk ✔︎
Kiss a stranger ✔︎

Nevaeh our heroine is as pure as the driven snow, innocent beyond belief, ruled by a god fearing mother, who has high expectations and unrealistic rules, but a brother who she loves wholeheartedly who keeps her grounded.

Nevaeh fears that life is going to pass her by if she doesn't start living and crossing things off her bucket list. And that all starts when on her birthday she goes to a night club for the first time with her best friend and ends up throwing caution to the wind and kisses a stranger.

How one kiss changed the course of her life forever. One moment in time ticked off her bucket list.

Ethan our Hero, god how I loved this man!! He had the look which could grace a GQ magazine, handsome beyond words, edgy, dangerous, a successful business man. He's sculpted, beautifully rugged, dark and dangerously handsome. But delve deeper than what's on the surface and this man is hiding a world of hurt deep down where the darkness now graces his heart.

This woman is off limits, and even if she wasn't, she isn't my type. She's the forever type of girl, the one you marry and have a dozen babies with, and I'm nothing more than a for now type of guy.

Before I Die isn't what I expected it to be at all.

It's not the type of book I normally pick up, and to be completely honest, I was nervous when I first started reading it. The innocence of the heroine had me wondering if I'd made a big mistake in my choice, and when she started talking about religion in the way she did, I questioned that choice even further.

Despite my hesitations, I kept on reading. I've read Nikki's work in the past, so I wanted to give the book a fair shot. I'm so happy I did! It's easily one of the most beautiful stories I've read all year. It's so much more than just a romance. This is a story about what it truly means to be alive!

Nevaeh is the product of a strict religious upbringing with an overly critical mother. To say she's innocent would be an understatement. She's let her mother's judgments and beliefs dictate her entire life, and as a result, she feels stifled and like she's not really living at all.

In an attempt to rectify that, she makes a bucket list of things she wants to do before she dies. Navaeh thinks completing it will prove she's doing more than merely existing during her time on this earth. When Blaire, Navaeh's best friend, talks her into going to a club for her birthday, she has the opportunity to cross a couple of items off her list... including kissing a stranger.

Ethan is surprised when the angelic Navaeh walks up to him at the bar and starts devouring his mouth, but he couldn't be more pleased with the interesting turn of events. Shortly after their mind-blowing kiss comes to an end, he excuses himself to attend to some business. Days later, he still can't get the gorgeous woman out of his mind, and she can't stop thinking about him either.

Soon, Fate throws them together in an unexpected way, and the result is life changing.

Before I Die is a sweet, emotional romance that will touch your heart in more ways than one. It's a story about living life to the fullest, finding yourself, forgiveness, family, faith, and finding peace. The writing is phenomenal and captivating, and the characters stole my heart. Their story is a layered one with a powerful message, and it's one you don't want to miss!

Contemporary romance fans, this one's for you!

First of all, no one dies in this story and there is a HEA!

I am wondering who the decision maker was for this title! It was so morbid, that it definitely didn’t encourage readers to read the blurb or the warning note from the author!!

However, I loved the message the story delivered. “Live hard. Love harder.”

Nevaeh decided to open her wings and leave behind her mother’s constricted way of upbringing, as to live her own life.
Ethan was a fantastic character, strong, honest and loyal. Their emotional connection was amazingly beautiful.
I loved the development of their characters and relationship.

It was emotional, very well written and engaging.
Their journey was not easy but they managed to reach their HEA and I was thrilled for both of them❣️

❝Live hard and love harder.❞

BEFORE I DIE by Nikki Ash was not what I was expecting to read when I first read the blurb of the book. The author not only delivered what I thought but more, so much MORE! The plot twist she added to the story was everything! She tricked me into believing I was going to read a specific trope, just for her to throw me a curve when I didn't expect it. And I LOVED it!

From page to page, this story played havoc with my emotions—it was a book that I devoured in one sitting, I completely fell under Nikki's spell.

I loved the way the story flowed, both my heart and soul were immersed in the story. So if you are looking for a darkish, suspenseful, yet sweet, and full of love story, give this book a try!

Before I Die was not the book I expected it to be, I enjoy Nikki's writing and her ability to jump around in romance tropes is proven here with this book. I thought this Before I Die was going to be light and emotional read from the title; but boy was I wrong. After a couple of chapters I discovered the novel was going to skirt the darker edge of romance in some aspect, I was hooked wanting to see how the story was going to develop.

Nevaeh is the heroine, a very innocent, family orientated, woman of faith who has made a bucket list of things she wants to do. Starting on a night out for her birthday with her best friend she goes to a club and kisses a stranger, a handsome mysterious man that she can't get out of her head. When she gets caught up in something awful surrounding her brother, Nevaeh finds herself in the hands of a bad man; but her rescuer isn't far behind.

Ethan the Hero is a man closed off to love after his own personal tragedies. When a gorgeous woman kisses him in his own club his cannot forget about his 'Angel'. Of course fate has a plan in mind and the two are reunited once again in much different circumstances.

I enjoyed the juxtaposition between Ethan's experienced, darker edge and Nevaeh's sheltered innocence. It allowed the reader to go through the relationship and grow with Nevaeh, experience the things she does as she works through her bucket list right along side her. I loved how the two main characters, were passionate, comforted by each other and they free'd one another from the burdens that held them back. They dynamic was well written, I liked the suspense elements to the story, it was a novel you get lost in as you read.

The plot twist was expected yet not, vague I know, but no spoilers from me. It allowed Ethan and Nevaeh to venture further into their relationship and open up completely to each other. The novel wrapped up fairly quickly towards the end plot wise; but overall a enjoyable unexpected story line that I think many people will enjoy.

Heart-stopping and intense! Before I Die is a book that grabs you from the start and drags you into a suspenseful, yet sweet and sexy, world that'll keep you guessing! I devoured this book, eager for each twist and turn Nikki Ash threw my way! Five Dark, Decadent, and Delicious Stars! - K Webster, USA Today Bestselling Author

From Nikki Ash comes a new, contemporary stand-alone romance about not only finding love but finding yourself. Before I Die is a stand-alone contemporary romance with a HEA.

Things I want to do before I die:
Go to a club
Get drunk
Kiss a stranger
Go on a mission trip

I’m drowning. Trapped beneath my mother’s expectations. Suffocated by my religious upbringing.
My life has been full of well-crafted decisions—none of them made by me.

On the outside I play by the rules, but on the inside... I have dreams. A list. A tattered scrap of paper tucked away from the world, only I know about.

Some items were easy to check off. Others, though, will require me to take a huge leap out of my comfort zone.

One night changes everything. While at the club for my birthday, so I could check off another item on my list, I did something I never imagined I would have the guts to do: I got drunk and kissed a stranger.

What I wasn't prepared for was how that one kiss would change the course of my life, making me realize life is more than a list to be checked off. It’s about living in the moment so you don’t miss the ones not on the list—the ones you didn’t even know you wanted.

Before I Die was totally unexpected, full of surprises and plot twists. So not at all the story I thought I would be reading. I went into Neveah and Ethan’s story completely blind, having no idea where the story would take me. And it's one of those stories where you just need to hang on with both hands and enjoy the ride.

Neveah and Ethan’s story was intense, highly emotional, and captivating. Starting with the best meet-cute leading to a kiss with a complete stranger. From that moment on, the twists and turns that kept coming blew my mind and I was glued to the pages.

I loved the way this story flowed, and I was totally immersed in the story. Before I Die is slightly dark, suspenseful, yet so sweet and full of love. The story wrapped up fairly quickly towards the end plot wise and felt some things were rushed and unexplained; but overall a highly enjoyable unexpected storyline that I’m sure people will enjoy very much.

5 ☆ Suspenseful ☆ Stars!

I know I've said this before, but this book is everything!! I love the different sides this author shows through her writing, and when Nikki adds suspense to her romance... just magic! Before I Die pulled at each and every heart string in every way. So many feels and edge of your seat, nail biting moments all in the same book, just doesnt get any better than that. I went into this story completely blind without any warning where Neveah and Ethan's story would take me. And let me tell you, it's one of those stories where you just hang on with both hands and enjoy the ride. It absolutely consumed me from the beginning til I reached the end at 4am. A book hangover isnt enough of a term for this wild ride. My face is swollen and blotchy and loved every minute of it. Now what to do with myself!

It started with a kiss to a complete stranger, which is one of my favorite meet-cutes. But the twists and turns from that starting point on, are just mind blowing. You cant help but love Neveah a little more with each page. Her strength and growth was just mesmerizing to read with each turn of the page. Ethan who was just ridiculously hot from the beginning, managed to not only get hotter but sweeter with his commanding presence and protectiveness.

Before I Die is not just another story to read and live through the characters, it's a full experience. One you shouldn't miss out on and feel wholeheartedly. Nikki Ash knocked out out of the park with this story and has outdone herself once again. Just another reason why she'll always be one of my automatic 1-Click authors.

Before I Die was totally unexpected- not at all the story I thought I would be reading. What I thought this story was going to be about? Surprising. The themes I thought we’d explore? Surprising. The pace of the plot? Surprising. Who the characters are? Surprising. The characters’ struggles? Surprising. The obstacles faced? Surprising. This isn’t the light, meta read I thought I would be getting- but wow-eey, what I got was so much better. This story is intense, emotional, and captivating- a one-sitting type of read.

Nevaeh is trapped in a box of expectation, weighed down by oppressive dogma of her religious beliefs and the judgement of her parents. As a way to cope, she keeps a running list of the experiences she wants to live before she dies- a written manifestation of the person she wants to be, if only she could unshackle herself from the person she currently is. On her birthday, she decides to check off a list item- go to a club- not shocking to most of us, but as a highly sheltered, innocent 24 year old who never defies her strict parents, this is quite risque. She never expects to also check-off getting drunk and kissing a stranger, but a twist of events results in her shocking herself and us. And the kiss? It is epic, soul searing, explosive- and neither character will ever be the same. They part ways assuming they’ll never see each other again- but yet again, a tragic and gruesome twist intertwines their destinies, and what unfolds is an unexpectedly suspenseful action packed, steamy, and surprisingly emotional page turner.

The character chemistry here is STRAIGHT FIRE. From their first meeting, I knew it would be explosive. I could practically feel the heat between them- the longing and intensity. But even more so, I could feel their emotional need for one another- two hearts, one soul. There is some hardcore instalove here- and I love instalove- but the tether between them feels realistic, both because Nikki carefully intertwines there stories but also carefully sprinkles pivotal emotional moments that cement this beautiful couple. Ethan is deliciously swoon worthy. He’s incredibly unexpected and trope defying- sweet, gentle and caring, lives with integrity, despite the world he’s surrounded by. His deviation, loyalty, passion- OH LAWD. He’s one of my favorite leading men in a long time. And Neveah was so likable and surprisingly relatable, particularly given her naivete and the strong religious undercurrent of her character. Instead of finding her innocence cumbersome, I found it refreshing- a metaphor for the nature of her character journey. She’s so open and gentle, emotionally strong despite her fears. I loved them both, and I LIVED for them being together.

What I loved about this book is that just when I thought I’d figured out what this story was going to be, it would take a sharp left and explore something else, an interesting narrative parallel to the existential journey Nevaeh is on herself. The events around her are just as jarring and disorienting as her own internal struggle to live on her terms- so she does what we do as readers, she goes with it. The blurb led me down one path, our opener led me down another, unexpected twists and turns yet another, etc. This book definitely is covering a lot of thematic ground, is trying to be a lot of different stories at once- which normally hinders focus and impact- but here, it worked for me, because Nikki ensures we have enough time to explore each concept and its emotional impact on our characters, and she keeps the focus squarely on our couple. When your thematic message is around living hard and loving hard, a sprawling and twisting story only helps accentuate this, helps show our character journey all the better, because we see it through the lens of a variety of conflicts and backdrops.

The middle slowed down for me a bit, and the ending wraps up a LOT of subplots so felt a smidge hasty, but this didn’t make me any less ravenous for this story. Nikki’s use of contrast and parallels helped highlight the heart of this book- the contrast of Ethan’s darkness and pragmatism with Nevaeh’s light and innocence, a sweet, tender, and gentle love story nestled in gritty and dark action, the juxtaposition of the narrative structure to the emotional and spiritual journeys of our characters. As our characters confront dangers and make meaning of unexpected obstacles, this journey becomes increasingly less about literal survival and more about metaphysical survival- unpacking and reconciling their own hearts and minds, finding peace in their painful histories, liberating themselves from the versions of themselves that both Ethan and Nevaeh have allowed themselves to be trapped by. Ethan has suppressed aspects of his identity because of past emotional pain, and Nevaeh has never even unleashed her true self. Amidst all the entertaining, suspenseful, and twisting action, our characters are having an existential catharsis- awakening parts of themselves that have been dormant or unrecognized, providing one another the safety and connective strength each need to confront what has been holding them back. Live hard, love harder- because love can save you, love can unleash you, love can set you free.

This book is one of the most gut retching, captivating books that I have read in my life and the way that this author has written it was fantastic. I love the way that this author writes and this book pulled me in so hard that I couldn't put it down, I was hooked. This book will keep you guessing all the way through and just when you think that you have sussed it there is another twist in there story.

Nevaeh is a very innocent, sweet loving kind of woman and she is going through some things in her life that are very difficult. Without giving to much away because you have to read it, she has made a list of things she thinks that she wants to do before she dies. But everything is not as it seems.
Nevaeh has been living a very strict life with her parents and they are always on her to not do this and that and her faith. Until she moves in with her best friend Blaire. One night Blaire convinces her to go out to a club and this is the night that will change her life forever.

Ethan owns the club and he is one hot as hell alpha male that can also be sometimes an ass that has a dark side, but deep down he is one awesome guy that will be inside of everyone's heart. When this beautiful ANGEL kisses him out of the blue she is in his head and his heart and he will do anything to protect this innocent woman.

This author really knows how to make your heart ache, I was feeling every single emotion throughout this book and it will make you cry and it will have you reaching for the tissues on more than one occasion. The drama, the mystery, the suspense and the love inside of this book will make you feel it all and the twists and turns were awesome and so were the shockers.
Oh My!!
The characters in this book are very intense and they will stay with you forever I loved them all and I wish Blaire was a best friend that I had I loved her too and the way that the author brought them to life was amazing.
This authors writing style is beautiful. This story completely flows throughout and you will be hooked, it is a total page turner that will have you turning faster than anything. I guarantee that you will not see what is coming and you wont know what to expect but it is awesome and I recommend this book to everyone.

This book is expected to be released 9th July 2020.

What a great story! I was reading this through till the early hours, not wanting to put it down. There is a lot going on and I felt that I just needed to keep reading to find out how all of this came out in the end. My heart was hurting and I distrusted just about everyone. I’m completely useless at finding the baddy and anticipate bad things around every corner. Very tense moments ensued.

Nevaeh is such a pure, angelic lady. Very innocent in every way. I just love her and I adore the way she grows and blossoms the further into the book. Her mother was a pill but I admired the way Nevaeh dealt with her.

Ethan is my hero. From the first moment, I was in love and he just got better and better right to the very end. There were so many obstacles to overcome and when it all wrapped up I was so happy with the results that I was smiling like a lunatic.

The writing is simply perfect and kept me wanting more. My heart was broken, sped up and melted several times. I definitely recommend that everyone reads this.

Darn you Nikki Ash *shakes fist at the sky* You made my eyeballs leak again! Someone get me an eyeball plumber. It’s out of control. I can’t stop crying overly emotional happy tears because of this book. They just keep coming. Nevaeh and Ethan’s story is just too much for my little heart to handle it’s level of awesome. It’s brilliant, suspenseful, and romantic.
There were moments that had my jaw dropping as much as there were moments that had me sighing all the dreamy sighs of a woman in full swoon. Nikki brilliantly delivers a story that goes deep while also remains endlessly entertaining. I found myself reflecting on my own thoughts and feelings on things as often as I found myself falling more and more in love with Ethan and Nevaeh. There story is one you won’t be able to predict and it’s nothing you could ever dream of, its about one thousand percent more than that.

Before I Die by Nikki Ash
“oh Ash, 5 stars”

I loved Before I Die. Ash is one of those authors for me I instantly one click; I don’t even bother to read the blurb. So going into Before I Die, I had zero expectations and Ash killed me. Nevaeh is loyal and innocent to a fault. Ethan is alpha and a little dangerous. They never should have worked together, but they did. Oh, did they. When they fell, they fell hard no matter what those around them thought. If you want a story that will hit you in the feels, look no further.

The premise of this book was so intriguing and I’ve heard so many good things about Nikki Ash so I was really excited to receive this as an ARC.

Unfortunately, this ended up not being for me. I can be a mood reader from time to time and I think this might have been a case of wrong book, wrong time.

The positives: I stayed with it the entire way through. The story flowed and I wanted to keep going even though I ultimately didn’t love it. I could tell Nikki is a very talented writer and I do want to continue to read her books.

Now to what didn’t work for me..There were just several pieces that confused me in the book. Things that didn’t seem logical and went unexplained with the way Nevaeh acted that seemed a little farfetched. I’m also uber critical on heroines and I admit that vulnerable and naive are characteristics that often don’t work for me with heroines.

Nevaeh’s mood swings were exhausting. There were several times she went from being so upset and grieving to getting “12 year old girl” excited about getting to go on a fun outing with Ethan - all of this within 2-3 pages and the same conversation. She just seemed crazy to me.

I did talk through the book with other reviewers after finishing and I can see why so many people really enjoyed it.. but unfortunately for me it just didn’t hit the mark.

Nevaeh and Ethan are polar opposites. She is a good girl who follows the religious directions of her mother. Ethan is a club owner who likes to forge his own way in life and following the path of God isn't part of his lifestyle.

While out at Ethan's club Nevaeh has a chance encounter with her ex. Nevaeh turns to Ethan to help her out using him as cover as a pretend boyfriend. Little did she know that the next time she saw Ethan it would not be in such pleasant circumstances.

A situation which will change Nevaeh's life and her outlook on life drastically. Gone is her willingness to compliantly follow her mother's direction. Instead, she is determined to forge her own path in a gripping journey of self-discovery through a dangerous situation. Forced to rely on Ethan's support to help her through the adversity.

EXPERT
“I’m not going to hurt you. Please get inside,” Ethan says, his voice devoid of all emotion.
Having no choice but to believe what he says, I step into the foyer and see an elegant white spiral staircase leading up to the second floor. A patterned maroon rug ascends the stairs, giving it a homey feel.
To my left is a huge dining room with a table that could easily seat twelve people.
“Your home is beautiful,” I say. “You must have a big family.”
Ethan scoffs at my compliment as he closes the front door. “Do I look like a family man to you?”
“Um, I’m not sure,” I say, considering his question. “Maybe… I mean you were nice at the club when you were my pretend boyfriend in front of my ex, but then you were kind of scary at your friend’s house earlier. I’m not sure if a family man would nearly choke a woman who just lost her brother and was on the verge of being sold into…”
When Ethan’s brows shoot up to his forehead in what looks like shock mixed with disbelief, I close my mouth mid-sentence.
“You meant that as a rhetorical question, didn’t you?” Insert foot into mouth.
Ethan doesn’t answer. “Let’s go. It’s getting late and I’m tired.”

This isn’t just a story about finding love, it’s about a woman’s journey to find herself. Incredibly written, reminding us all to “Live hard. Love harder.”

Nevaeh is torn between her strict religious upbringing and wanting to be free to live her life by her own choices. Scared and insecure most of the time, she’s on a mission to find herself, including writing out a list of things she’s wants to do before she dies. After being able to cross off a few things off, her life does indeed start to change!

Ethan is the owner of The Warehouse, a popular nightclub that’s more than meets the eye, where he has a very interesting and not unpleasant interaction with Nevaeh. Extremely good looking with a dangerous edge, he’s the complete opposite of innocent and beautiful Nevaeh. He’s walking talking sin.

Nevaeh and Ethan’s second meeting is even more bizarre than their first! Disarmed by her innocence, she becomes a distraction he doesn’t need. However, they both soon discover it’s the things they aren’t looking for that become the most important.

This story takes a few wildly unexpected turns that truly had me unable to stop reading. A romantic suspense that had me wrapped up in emotion while on the edge of my seat!

Before I Die is not at all what I expected but an incredible story none the less. Nikki Ash brings all the FEELS. I read this in one sitting! This was an addicting read with angst and suspense mixed with an intense emotional and physical connection that I just couldn’t get enough of. Neveah has barely experienced life. She is 24 years old and has been weighed down by judgement of her mother and her religious beliefs. She has done everything to make her happy but she is getting tired of living her life based on her mother’s expectations of her and has made a list of things she wants to do before she dies. First up is going to a club on her birthday. What she doesn’t expect is to check off two more items from her list in the same night. Get drunk and kiss a stranger. That kiss is out of this world. Explosive and soul searing. A kiss she cannot stop thinking about. Ethan has a bit of a darker side and seems the exact opposite of Neveah but gosh I love that man. He is so supportive of Neveah and all her dreams. He is running a club with some illegal activity running through it but will stop at nothing to keep Neveah protected and away from any harm. He is harboring some fears and pain from the past and my heart broke for him in the flashback scenes. There were parts of Neveah’s character that bothered me. She was in her head a lot. She was stubborn and lacked confidence in her choices and decisions. She had a hard time speaking up to her mother but meeting Ethan changes her world and her insecurities become a thing of the past. This was an unpredictable story. Every time I thought I knew the direction the story was going I would get a twist or turn I never saw coming. Nikki Ash provided a gripping, suspenseful, emotional love story with Before I Die and I highly recommend it.

Two hearts...

Dos corazones, Una Alma.
Two hearts, one soul.

Before I Die is a story about finding one's true self and living. Live hard, Love harder.

Everything she thought was living, was simply existing. This "Angel" is about to go through hell and its the most life altering journey she's ever embarked on.

Living life for yourself isn't as easy for some. Nevaeh has been struggling with expectations her entire life. Only recently has she decided she needs to branch out. When she does, it changes everything.

It's a sweet story with plenty of heart warming moments. It also has a mix of not so nice. Life isn't all butterflies and tingles and neither is Before I Die.

I can't tell if Nikki Ash started to go dark and then pulled back or if this was the goal all along. This contemporary romance gives some mixed signals but its an enjoyable read nonetheless. Nevaeh and Ethan are going to make you smile and sigh. I definitely enjoyed Neveah's final list thougg I myself might have appreciated reading a few of the in between lists. My bucket list is ever growing...

I went in blindly on purpose because I wanted to discover what the title meant, and that’s exactly why I loved this story so much!
What a surprise!
Wow I did not expect that!!
This story was a unique darkish romance of opposites attracting where good versus evil, and dark versus light find a happy balance. Captivating, suspenseful and full of unexpected surprises, the story of Neveah and Ethan was a perfect juxtaposition that gave the story the depth that made their story worthwhile reading.
Yet, there was a purity to their unique dynamic that made their story even more compelling to read about.

5 stars! Highly recommend this book and author!

I sound like a broken record, but I don’t care. There’s a reason why I keep saying that Nikki Ash’s stories are amazing and a must-read. I highly recommend you read her books.

If you are familiar with Nikki’s work, it has similar vibes to Bordello. It’s dark, suspenseful, and with a plot twist I didn’t see coming.

This book isn’t the typical stories that this author writes, but it was really good. I loved it so much that I couldn’t help myself to read the book in one sitting. From the beginning to end I was hooked on Nevaeh and Ethan’s story. Ethan had me swooning so hard for him. My emotions were all over the place. I was laughing, smiling, and crying.

I’m sad this book is over, but I’m really happy that a book makes me feel this way during these hard times. They grab a hold of you and never want to let go. Alas, I hope Nikki never stops publishing these amazing stories.

Nikki has done it again, this time with more suspense than she usually has in her romance stories. Nevaeh has a list of things she wants to do before she dies, and one of those items leads her to Ethan. Their romance is sweet, sexy, and full of drama. I couldn’t put this book down, such a great read!

⭐️ 5 "Live Hard. Love Harder" Stars ⭐️
Before I Die had me hooked after only a few lines. It was so different than what I was expecting, but in such a good way. This novel can’t be labelled in one specific category as it is an amalgam of inspiring, emotional, suspenseful and steamy! Nikki Ash surpassed herself with this romance that has me dazzled!

As I previously mentioned, only a couple pages in and I was already captivated by this story. Neveah is a sheltered heroine, raised by a very religious mother, but she finally wants to spread her wings. Her desire to finally live the life she wants without fear is admirable. The night she starts this new journey, she meets Ethan and they share an instant connection. When they unexpectedly cross path again, Ethan becomes her savior and there’s not looking back.

I seriously loved that both main characters are opposites, but they don’t try to change the other. I felt they pushes each other to just be more. Ethan, as much as he’s an imposing alpha with a certain dangerous edge, doesn’t want Nevaeh to let go of her beliefs. He doesn’t ridicule her for her hopes and desires, but makes her embrace them. That’s what I love about their dynamic so much.

I don’t want to reveal too much about the storyline, because the story is best experienced blind. I treasured the protagonists and their exquisite love story paved with obstacles that only made their love get deeper. Nikki Ash wrote here another little gem!

I wasn’t sure want to expect from Before I Die, that being said, Nikki Ash exceeded alllll of my expectations for it! I was blown away by all of the emotions, the suspense and the beautiful love story.

“Live hard. Love harder.”

Great words to live by. Nevaeh grew up in a very strict, religious home. Given her background, it makes sense to how naive she is. She my alway tried to live her life to keep her mom happy.

“I’m going to die before I’ve ever lived.”

Now that she is living on her own with best friend, she realizes there is a lot she’s missing out on in life. She starts to write her bucket list of things she want to do before she dies. Who knew kissing a stranger in a club would actually end up saving her life??? It’s funny how life works out sometimes.

“I’m nobody’s white knight and it’s best she realizes that now.”

Ethan is Neveah’s complete opposite. Where Nevaeh is sweet and innocent, Ethan is sinfully hot, corrupt and ruthless. He can’t get that kiss out of his head. She’s definitely not his type, too good, too innocent, too pure for a guy like him. Who knew their lives would collide days later?? And it would have him fighting his attraction to her.

Before I Die is a beautiful love story full of hope, love, loss and forgiveness. Trust me when I say you need to read it 😍😍
