About this ebook

English professor Dr. Georgeanne Hayes is recovering from a divorce and forging a new life in Washington, DC. She's lonely, but she'd rather be lonely than miserable. She keeps busy teaching college courses to military students and assuring her family back in Texas that she's perfectly fine. But when she asks a few too many questions about a missing student, someone tries to push her in front of a Metro train beneath the Pentagon.

Sam "Knight Rider" McKnight is new to the Hostile Operations Team. When he finds out Georgie Hayes lives in DC now, he goes to see her. When they were kids, she was his best friend's baby sister. When she was eighteen, he nearly took what she offered--but he stopped before it was too late. Sam hasn't seen Georgie in six years. But now he can't seem to stop the very male--and very dirty--thoughts about the woman he can never have.

When someone threatens Georgie's life, she turns to Sam for help. He'll do anything necessary to keep her sheltered, even if it means spending the next few days locked up together in a remote safe house. Sam might be used to denying himself what he wants, but he's about to find out that being cooped up with Georgie will push him to the limit. And maybe beyond. Because Georgie is all grown up now, and she knows what she wants. She's known for years--and this time she isn't taking no for an answer.

This is the second book in the Hostile Operations Team (H.O.T) and it follows Sam McKnight and Dr. Georgeanne Hayes. Meet the lovely English professor Dr. Georgeanne Hayes who has a huge problem. Her star pupil, who's an Army sergeant and works in a Top Secret government program has gone missing. Then someone tried to push Georgie in front of a train last night. The ever breathtaking Sam “Knight Rider” McKnight who is used to looking out for Georgie. When Sam and Georgie were kids Sam looked at Georgie as his best friend’s baby sister. Now Georgie’s not a his best friends baby sister anymore and poor Sam is getting some strong male—and extremely dirty, dirty—thoughts. Sam feels that he can't forget about the girl he knows he can't never have. When someone threatens Georgie’s life for a second time again. Sam is no doubt willing and able do anything necessary to keep Georgie safe. That means even if it means spending the next few days locked up in a remote house on the cost of Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Sam is used to denying himself everything and anything he wants. However Sam is about to find out that being locked up with Georgie in that house will push him to the limit. It may also push both Sam and Georgie beyond the point of no return. I Love Lynn Raye Harris. If i could give more than 5 * i could but again i have to settle for 5

Grabbed me from the start. I don't know how many guys you hear from but I start one and have a hard time putting it down. You are a very gifted writer and get a readers attention from the first sentence. I put you right beside Lisa Scottaline, Lee Child, Staurt Woods, and all the other good writers. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to the next one.

Hot Mess by Lynn Raye Harris Genres: Adult, Romance 2 Stars 🎶. Boring. No real errors. No real action. No real suspense. A lot of yacking. Intimate scene was the best part and that was also filled with a lot of yacking. 2nd book in this series I have read and my Last. When I read suspense I want SUSPENSE. Not a lot of yacking about the danger they are in. I want the Action. I have like 5 of Ms. Harris's books. I have read 2. All the rest go into my 'Not For Me' shelf. By the way, the adult action is okay. Not super hot & heavy, but okay
