Great read after the Eve and Dante trilogy.
Joseph is Dante's best friend and second in charge, he has an intriguing back story and a unique relationship with his boss.
Anna is sucked into their world during the trilogy and the two of them need to find their way to each other.
I absolutely love Catherine Wiltcher's writing. Everything is so beautifully crafted "I want to take that fragility and build a fortress around it, and then hire a couple of fire-breathing dragons to patrol the airspace for eternity."

Well written and a great continuation of the Santiago trilogy. I can’t recommend this highly enough! A rollercoaster ride with clever talking bad boy heroes. And the women they love give as good as they get.

If there is an author I will read any of her books without reading the description, it is Catherine Witcher.
I've read 7 of her books and now I will tell you about this duet.
I recommend reading the Santiago trilogy before this duet in order to get the background on the story of Anna and Joseph.

After reading the trilogy I wanted to know what happened with Anna and Joseph, my heart was restless and I wanted to silence the turmoil that was going on inside me.
This is not a delicate, sweet and light novel.
There is an ugly reality here, broken characters, and a pãínfully crushing love story.

Anna was kidnapped and went through hørrørs that caused the woman she was to become a human shell, a shadow of the person she once was.
She's drawn so deep into the páín and hurt she has gone through, crashing down the slippery slope that could lead to disaster, but she has a shadow watching over her, his name is Joseph Grayson.
Throughout the duet I get a glimpse into Grayson and Anna's past, each time from the point of view of one of them, I'd be lying if I said the book didn't open with a púñch to my stomach, the amount of times I gasped or felt my stomach flip was high.
And yet I kept reading because I couldn't stop until I got the ending I wished for my two broken and beautiful characters💔

One of the most beautiful books Catherine wrote! She took out so many emotions from me, made my heart break into thousands of pieces and explode with love.
Catherine you are an amazing writer, you write with grace, and I am in love with your writing!
Thank you for writing this duet now my broken heart is whole again
I am so looking forward to reading the next book you will publish

After reading the Santiago Trilogy I'm happy to know that there's a story written about Joseph and Anna. Two lost souls trying to the light.
I admired how Anna fought to find acceptance with what happened to her when she was kidnapped and abused repeatedly. Joseph is indeed befitting as the shadow for he never left her side. They're are each other's inspiration and will to live and survive. As Anna slowly heals and become a complete full moon a new Cartel war is brewing. Can't wait to read the next book!

WOW! My head is still spinning and my jaw dropped after reading the last page of ‘Shadow Man. What such an amazing book! I had high expectations for this title after reading and loving the Santiago Trilogy and Catherine Wiltcher not only has fulfilled them, she has exceed them.

I loved this book from page one till the end. Absolutely brilliant writing. ‘Shadow Man’ is an intense, powerful and thrilling ride. Joseph and Anna have troubled background. They both have ugly demons to fight. It’s not easy at all to find peace for their souls and bodies but they’re stubborn, brave and more crazy about each other than they even realize.

I couldn’t put this book down. Great world building. Everything just played out in my mind like a movie (I wish ‘Shadow Man’ could be turn into one!). I love hot alpha males and Joseph is one of a kind. Not to mention his boss, what a team they make! I really like their dynamic.

Although you don’t need to read the Santiago trilogy to fully understand this book, I highly recommend it. Not just because they (‘Hearts of Darkness’, ‘Hearts Divine’ and ‘Hearts of Fire’) are an outstanding reading but because also they’ll help you to enjoy this book a lot better. You’re going to love and sometimes hate the characters but definitely you’ll want to meet them.

I can’t wait for Grayson Duet book 2!
