Remington's most notoriously single,
notoriously sexy surgeon
is about to fall for the one woman
he can't have...

Did I mention that she's
A) his best friend
B) immune to his panty-melting charm, and
C) sleeping on his couch for the next six weeks?

But Jonah's not made for commitment,
and a good man is the one thing Natalie deserves.
Not someone who can only offer up
a couple of sizzling hot, no-strings-attached nights
of pure pleasure.

Unless that's what she wants.

Because Jonah wants her. And with each
moment they spend working together--
living together--
the harder it is to resist temptation.

And even harder to resist the fall
that might break them both...

Better Than Me is book two in the Remington Medical series by Kimberly Kincaid. In the first book, Back to You, we met the two main characters of this book, Natalie and Jonah, two surgeons, best friends. Now we get their story.

Natalie Kendrick is thirty-two years old and is a pediatric surgeon at Remington Memorial Hospital. She loves what she does and she’s very good at it. Even with all of the stress and sadness that is part of her job, Nat is such an optimist. She believes in love, in finding that one person that you can share your life with. She just hasn’t found that person yet. Work takes up most of her life, and her best friend, Jonah.

Alex Pettyfer

Dr. Jonah Sheridan, otherwise known as The Orgasm Whisperer, is also a surgeon at Remington. He and Natalie have been best friends for years. Jonah doesn’t believe in love, for reasons he’s never shared with anyone. He is not a long term relationship guy. He’s a one and done.

When Natalie comes home to find her apartment with a bath tub in her living room that wasn’t supposed to be there, she needs a place to stay for the next six weeks while the building is repaired. With no where else to go, Jonah lets her stay with him. But, you know that two very attractive people living in close quarters that know each other better than any one else can’t help but to start to notice each other in a different way. Start to notice all those sexy muscles or her long legs and beautiful smile. They are best friends, but they’re going to be living together for the foreseeable future. What might happen if they add some benefits into the friendship?

Hope

Another thing happens while they are living together. Jonah begins to open up, to share some of his reasons for being the way he is. Little by little, Natalie’s light shines through and he feels something he hasn’t felt in a very, very long time, hope.

“Natalie’s hope wasn’t too much. It was a beacon. A lifeline. It was everything.”

I need you...

These two were so adorable. In any book I read, I can’t help but to feel more love for one of the characters than the other. In this one it was Natalie. She was just so filled with goodness. I loved the influence that Nat had on Jonah. They really were perfect together. And one thing about Jonah, he may have been a player before, but when he was in, he was all in. I also loved getting some glimpses of Parker and Charlie from the first book and seeing how happy they are.

...

I haven’t read many medical romances but Kimberly keeps the medical aspect of it easy for people that don’t know a thing about the medical profession. I can only hope that any doctor that I might need to deal with in the future might have the same amount of compassion that these doctors have. It wouldn’t hurt if they looked as good as they do either!

“I’m here with you.”
“I have you.”
“I promise.”

Not in million years I would ever understand what is romantic about friends-to-lovers, when he fucked around (and was well-known manwhore) and she knew about it/witnessed his ways with women and, as I heard, remained virgin, at 32!
She may have her reasons, no doubt, but to pair her with an STD-ridden manho is above ridiculous!

What TF is romantic about double standards???!
What love could possibly appear, when he fucked many OWs and she knew about it?
2019 and women still find it attractive??!
Honestly, I can't even think of any reason such plot could be romantic and deliver plausible hea...

Self-respect and self-dignity is what we need to cultivate in women, and not another cliche scenario...

Kimberly Kincaid continues her “Remington Medical” series with Better Than Me, the story of Dr. Jonah Sheridan, a.k.a. The Orgasm Whisperer, and his best friend, Dr. Natalie Kendrick.

When Natalie’s apartment becomes a disaster zone, she convinces her best friend to let her stay with him even if it means breaking his “women don’t stay over” rule and ends up upending Jonah’s life. Not only is she super smart, generous and caring, she’s also incredibly sexy and the only woman who is unaffected by his charm, or is she?

As the two friends and colleges fight the attraction bred from their closeness and familiarity, Jonah struggles to reveal the source of his hurt, but while they figure their new dynamic there’s lots of wit, humor, fever-pitch sexy times and lots of very touching moments between the couple that will undoubtedly have you cheering them on through all their ups and downs.

Due to the series backdrop developed around a hospital, their story deals with a variety of medical issues which are dealt in-depth and with sensitivity, engaging in the angst of such matters and giving weight to the characters’ emotional wounds. The tale also includes intense action scenes and some crossover appearances by the sexy firefighters from Station Seventeen.

Better Than Me is book #2 of the Remington Medical series by Kimberly Kincaid. It is a standalone, friends to lovers, contemporary romance, told from both points of view, and has a happy ending. No cliffhanger.

DNF at ~ 40%

my face throughout this read

I don't know if it's my fault or the book's, probably a little bit of both.

So, I'm in that moment where I've just finished an absolutely amazing book and it's hard to find something else to read, something not as good but something decent nonetheless. I'm still crying over that book and thinking about all the wonderful, great people I met there and the amazing things they went through.
Why did it have to end? WHY?!

Probably any read that follows a 5-star one is bound for failure. And well, this one is no exception.

The characters were weak and pitiful most of the time (ok, strong words probably, but they were really annoying!). The girl (can't call her a woman) acted just like... well, a girl. She was a disappointment, I chose this book because she sounded like she had potential and she could be a strong heroine but oh well, she's not.

The writing was pretty good, that's why the 2-star rating (and not 1). And that's probably all the good things I can say about this book.

I'd probably not recommend this one.

While this is a safe read (no OM/OW drama, cheating or sex scenes with OP), I think that is about all that I liked about it.

First off, SPOILER WARNING!!!

Hero,(Jonah) is a surgeon who works in the same hospital as heroine (Natalie). He was raised by a single Father who didn't often express emotions. When he was young (6 yrs old I think), his mother left them and from that experience, his father shut down and he was left with abandonment issues. Which of course didn't help him in his adulthood when HS & College GFs left him. Then add in a fiancee who left him at the alter a day before they were due to marry three years prior, and he has shut down completely - and turned into a Manho by sticking to ONS. He even has a nickname of "The Orgasm Whisperer". (STDs anyone??)

Heroine (Natalie) is also a surgeon and BFF's with Jonah since they met in College when he was engaged to his ex fiancee. She is also a cancer survivor, and warning to all, this story has a lot of Cancer inserted plot which often borders on the obsessive and may be a trigger to some.

When book opens, Natalie comes home to her apartment with Jonah in tow to see her upstairs neighbor's bathtub in the middle of her apartment. This leaves her temporarily homeless and you would think that this is the part that Hero would offer to have her stay with him... but no! Heroine is the one that BEGS & PLEADS for him to let her stay at his place until her apartment is safe to go back. So strike one. Heroines in my book NEVER beg! Ever!

Strike two came in the form that throughout the story, Hero has still not gotten over the "abandonment" thingy with the ex fiancee. He stated that he & the ex were together & in love for two years and the day before she left him, she told him that she wanted out & to move to Uganda(?) to help the poor. So now we have an aww.. shucksmoment for the OW for being selfless and not a b**ch. (Yippie-ki-yay). But what sucked big time is that he was clearly in love with the OW and never in the story did he say "but heroine is his true love or soulmate" or that he wasn't truly in love with the OW or whatever tripe reason. Nope. Nada. There was no defining the difference on that end and that sucked because had the OW not left HIM, he would have totally married her and wouldn't have given heroine another thought. In fact, he didn't even after three years since the breakup! Up until heroine moves in, there was no mention that he lusted after her or anything.

And I should mention that heroine is also a 32 year old virgin and asked HIM to screw her so she could get rid of her virginity. So yes, SHE was the one begging again!(Grrr...)

And then the ending. So after torturing myself to sit and read this-you-know-what, I felt I NEEDED at least a HEA. Did we get one? Nope. Not for this reader!

Two stars for the fact it was safe and I didn't have to read about his sexual exploits or OW coming to the scene. None of that nonsense here, but Hero was still too needy for my taste and heroine wore the pants in this relationship. Lol.

I love a friend to lover romance and when you throw in attractive doctors it makes for a very interesting read.

Natalie and Jonah start off as best friends who end up living together due to an accident. They soon come to realize their attraction for each other. What could go wrong with falling in love with your best friend? Guess you will just have to read and find out.

You GUYS! I'm so excited to bring you Dr. Jonah Sheridan's (hard-fought!) HEA with his best friend and fellow doctor, Natalie Kendrick. If you like friends to lovers, a hero who will charm his way into you (ahem!) heart, and super-sexy standalone romances that are all HEA, then this is the perfect book for you.

After all, the hotter they are, the harder they fall :)

This book can be read as a complete standalone. No cliffhangers, no spoilers. It is set in the world of Remington Medical, where some of the hot firefighters from my Station Seventeen series like to appear from time to time! Bonus!

New book boyfriend…CHECK! Dr. Jonah Sheridan…swoon!!!

Better Than Me, written by one of my very favorite authors, Kimberly Kincaid, gave me all the feels! My heart…oh my poor heart!!! This story made me laugh, smile, love, cry…I HAD TEARS!!! I stayed up way too late and didn’t regret it the next day…not one bit!

Dr. Natalie Kendrick never would have expected to be displaced by her upstairs neighbor’s bathtub falling through her ceiling. Natalie’s best friend, Dr. Jonah Sheridan, Mr. “Orgasm Whisperer”, Mr. One-Night-Stand, Mr. I-Have-Never-Brought-A-Woman-Back-To-My-Apartment (you get the point…right?) never expected to be approached to share his apartment with anyone…especially not someone whose wardrobe consists of lace bras and panties. There. Is. No. Way. Even if it is for only six weeks or so. Especially not a virgin who believes in long lasting relationships and marriage based on love. Especially not someone who watched When Harry Met Sally more than a handful of times. Nope. Not. Happening…

I believe in the kind of love where you give the other person the last bite of cheesecake without thinking twice…

Dr. Kendrick is sidetracked from her temporary housing situation by a young patient whose cancer is being ruthless. She can personally relate to her struggles, but since Natalie is 18 years in the clear, she can focus on Annabelle.

The characters in Better Than Me are a continuation from book 1 (Back to You) in the Remington Medical Series…and they are AMAZING! I love the banter, the friendships, and the relationships that have formed at the hospital. I love the visual descriptions author Kimberly Kincaid has written of the scenery! The storyline gave me insight into the lives of patients as well as the medical field that I had never seen firsthand. I am already chomping at the bit for the next book in the series…Between You & I.

I am so enjoying Kimberly Kincaid's medical romance series. The characters are fun and multi-faceted. I love that we are getting to know all the characters as the story unfolds and that they are all intertwined with each other. Rem Memorial seems like a fun place to work and an even better place to find that one person that completes you and heats up your sheets night after night.

BFF's Natalie and Jonah are wonderful together. Too bad they each have different views on life. One wants that forever kind of love and the other wants the one-and-done kind. But now, situations have changed and someone is about to find out how lonely life has been. Someone is going to have to face the past. And, someone is going to have to overcome some fears and face true love head-on. One of them has to totally leave their comfort zone. The other has learn how to face the fact that the “perfect” one just may be right in front of their fae.

I can honestly say that I really had fun reading this story. There were some very funny situations and some serious. I love the interaction between all the characters. But, what I loved the most was how Natalie and Jonah finally faced their feelings and realized that there was so much more than friendship between them.

A little bit of sass, a little bit of spice … a whole lot of love. Kimberly Kincaid wrote a beautiful friends to lovers story that will have you smiling.

It's 2019!!!!!!!!!! Stop with the misogynistic manwhore/virgin trope. It's bad enough we deal with misogyny in the real world and female authors keep reminding us in every damn book they write ugh

Will be adding this author to my never read list.

Kimberly Kincaid aims straight for the heart in this second installment of her Remington Medical series. If the best-friends-to-lovers trope wasn't enough to hook me, her characters and the journey Kincaid guides them through was. I adore these two. I love their ease with one another, how they always have each other's backs, how they navigate the awkwardness that ensues when a falling bathtub (yes, you read that right) causes them to become temporary roommates. Kincaid hits just the right notes when their friendship slides into more intimate territory and I love that she takes her time in getting them to that point. Their journey is true to their characters as are the ways they deal with obstacles thrown into their paths. Their chemistry is off the charts but also sweetly endearing (a wonderful balance), their foundation of friendship is solid, and the challenges to their happiness are believable as is each of their reactions to those challenges. Their HEA is realistic (no spoilers - you'll have to read the book to see what I mean) and reminds us that when life's potholes await, it's even more important to open our hearts to love and open our lives to those who will always have our backs.

Remington Memorial offers up a fascinating cast of doctors, nurses, interns, and more. As with the first book in the series, they all have page time, helping to move Jonah and Natalie's story forward even as their own stories continue to evolve (think Grey's Anatomy). Readers new to the series should be able to jump right in without confusion while those who have already read Back to You will enjoy catching up with their favorites.

The third book in the series, Between Me and You, is scheduled to be released later this summer. The teaser in the Better Than Me epilogue already has me counting the days!

Oh my goodness, this book was so good! Do not miss this one!!! If I could have put life on hold and read this one in one sitting I would have. First it starts off with Natalie Kendrick, a pediatric surgeon who always looks for the silver lining, finding a cast iron tub in the middle of her living room after it crashes though her ceiling (good thing she was not home at the time). Now being virtually homeless, because she refuses to stay with her overprotective parents, she moves in with Jonah Sheridan, a trauma surgeon and her best friend for years. Could close quarters bring on more than platonic feelings and the underlying arousal both feel with the familiarity soon escalate and...yea, this was one of the best books I have read in a while. Add in all the witty banter and secondary characters and I'm surprised my kindle didn't ignite because I was turning the pages so quick to get to the next one. Definitely a recommendation from me. I would deem this a standalone since I didn't read the first one in the series and was not lost, although I'm going to pick it up and catch up with these characters.

Who doesn’t love a best-friends-to-lovers romance? I know I absolutely adore them! And Better Than Me is one of my favorites! I knew Jonah and Natalie would move beyond their friendship.

But man, it took some convincing. I totally understood where both Jonah and Natalie stood—both absolutely cherished their deep friendship, not wanting to risk losing that if things didn’t work out romantically between them. But once they took a chance on themselves and love, wowza, I couldn’t help but grin from ear to ear.

I loved how they loved each other—that they finally got over themselves and their fears and insecurities and realized that adding love to their already strong friendship could make them so much better. That their relationship would blossom instead of flounder. I loved every angsty minute! ~ Missy, 4.5 stars

4 Stars!

Kimberly Kincaid has an all-new sweet, sexy, swoony best friends-to-lovers romance out set in the Remington Medical world and omg! y'all, this book was really really good. Who doesn't love an amazing contemporary romance that'll give you all the feels between besties as they fall in love but only in the best, unputdownable, unforgettable ways.

Better Than Me tells Jonah and Natalie's story and I loved every moment these two gave me, even the more complicated ones (can we say baggage much guy?!).

Best friends. Co-workers. Currently, new roommates since she's been displaced from her home. And despite only being friends, chemistry and feelings simmer below the surface. He's not a forever kind of guy and that's exactly what she deserves. But their hearts and fate have over plans. He thinks he can only offer her one thing... after all he isn't called the orgasm whisperer for nothing.

The fall between them was inevitable, beautiful, tricky, and completely worth every single moment.

Totally a true standalone and such a good book despite a couple of hiccups, I'll definitely be going back to check out book one in the Remington Medical series.

I definitely recommend this book.

Well hello, Jonah. Be my friend. Natalie and Jonah were friends, in the medical field, knew all about chemistry, in very close proximity to each other, and knew a lot about the other. I entered this series with book two and I want to go back to book one. I love friends-to-lovers. I love when they have a history. I loved when there is so much more to them getting together. I found a cast of character that I would like to know more about. I found them to be fun, rich, and felt like family.

**4-4.5 stars** I love reading the friends-to-lovers genre and if it’s written by Kimberly Kincaid, even better!

Jonah Sheridan, a trauma surgeon and Natalie Kendrick, a pediatric surgeon at Remington Medical have been best friends for years. When Natalie’s downstairs apartment is damaged from an upstairs apartment’s bathtub falling through her ceiling, she moves in temporarily at Jonah’s place until repairs can be made.

Jonah is known for his wild ways and “no relationships” policy and even having his best friend stay at his place is big deal, since he isn’t used to sharing his space. As the two spend more time together though, things go from “just friends” to more, even if both are trying to keep things casual.

I loved the growing relationship between Jonah and Natalie. They both have personal things they’re dealing with in their lives, but the support they give each other was wonderful to read about.

Sexy (as always with Kimberly’s books!), sweet, emotional, and heartfelt. Be sure to put this one on your TBR!

While it’s the 2nd book in the series, it can be read as a standalone.

So looking forward to the next book in the Remington Medical series!

#friendstolovers, #remingtonseries, #amazingwriter, #sensational This was an anticipated read for me, so much so I set up a timer on my phone! I am happy to say I was not disappointed, not that I ever thought I would be. Kimberly wrote a phenomenal friends to lovers book and I am super excited to read more to come in this series. Jonah and Natalie drew me in in the first book Back to You, they were such great friends and I wanted to know more. You find out secrets even the friends didn’t know about each other. This helps you feel as though you are living the day to day right along with them, the relationship growing before your eyes. I can not say enough about this fantastic book! Please, please go pre-order now so that on May 7th you can start reading! ***I was given an ARC copy for an honest review***

I am loving this new Remington Medical series which is set in North Carolina. I really like the way the author blends in medical aspects from their work because it is part of their lives and makes them more realistic. This ability is one of the reasons I favor Kimberly Kincaid. I am not a medical expert so I don't know if the medical stuff is accurate but it isn't obviously wrong.

The setting is the same world as the Station Seventeen series . I enjoy seeing some of those characters very briefly. Jordan and Natalie were introduced in Back to You and it's great to get know them better.

They each have things about their history which make for issues in their current lives and relationships. Don't we all?  Another thing I love is character honesty with themselves and others, and their personal development. Better Than Me is jam-packed with this favorite thing.  I love their journey. I'm totally along for Between Me & You, the next one with this group of friends and medical environment.

This book is insanely good! Jonah Sheridan and Natalie Kendrick have been best friends for years. The playboy trauma surgeon and the sunny pediatric surgeon have a fantastic, platonic relationship. Then Nat desperately needs a place to stay and Jonah reluctantly agrees to become roommates and suddenly everything changes.

I wish I could give this more than five stars!! Jonah is my favorite kind of book boyfriend: gorgeous, sexy, cocky and when he finally falls, you know he will fall hard. Natalie blew me away, sweet and kind but oh so strong. I loved that they started out as best friends and turned into so much more!

The attraction between these two is oh-so-hot but there were so many sweet, swoony moments too. Add in some funny banter, the Remington Memorial staff, plus some surprising twists and Better Than Me is one of the best books I have read in a long time.

The accurate synopsis spells this story line out pretty clearly here, my fellow medical romance book loving friends. If it intrigues you, my diagnosis for you is to pull up a chair, put your feet up, and dive right in this stand-alone but part of a series, friends to lovers romantic tale.

Better brace yourself though for this afraid to love/commit, handsome, hunk of a doctor’s womanizing past reputation. He’s known as the king of one night stands, which we are often reminded. We are given an explanation why he has closed off his jaded heart. At least, we aren’t given graphic details or run-ins with the long list of nameless OW he’s spent fleeting, passionate moments with. It is bothersome enough to know Natalie is well aware of his former misbehaving during his boys night out barroom ventures.

Natalie, the heroine, was a compassionate, resilient, hardworking pediatric cancer doc heroine, who deserved to find true love. My heart ached for what she has endured. She works so hard she has had little time to breathe. She’s always just accepted Jonah the way he is, without judgement or stipulations. She’s been a friend of his since college and now at the same hospital (but more of a classmate/coffee and lunch buddy). Not surprisingly, Jonah finds myself turning away from easy conquest temptations to wanting and needing more of Natalie, his new temporary roommate, in his life.

It’ll be up to you to decide if you can forgive/forget Jonah’s past and his stubborn reluctance to believe in a forever kind of love. Also, if you can embrace Natalie’s decision to temporarily put on hold her recent search for a lifetime marriage partner so she can pursue the undeniable attraction/chemistry she suddenly feels with Jonah. They come to a short term agreement that morphs into an all consuming love that will not be denied.

All in all, the writing flowed, and I especially enjoyed the sweet, grand gesture near the end. It seems like forever since I’ve read a medical romance where the main couple are both doctors. It’s one of my favorite romance genres, folks, so I'm inclined to be rather forgiving/lenient. However, I did lower my rating by one star for Jonah's past womanizing mindset/behavior.

Romance Safety Gang:

As a big fan of medical shows, I knew I needed medical romance books in my life as well. Better Than Me sounded like the perfect book to start off with. I have to say, I was hooked from the start. Not only because of the amazing characters and story line, but the fact that the author included them dealing with patients (and one that was really close to the heart). Don't get me wrong, I love all things romance, but it's nice when the book isn't only focused on that aspect!

Natalie and Jonah are best friends and when Natalie needs a place to stay after having a bathtub fall in her apartment, Jonah is the only one she can think of. This creates a lot of fun and awkward situations, but also very genuine moments. It's clear they're friends and care for each other, but we slowly get to read about feelings sneaking up on them.

Better Than Me is filled with romance, steamy moments, humor, friendship, family and learning to let someone help you and letting love in. The details in this book were subtle and weren't too much when it came to the discovering of romance. It takes awhile for things to develop and I loved getting to know the characters along the way. This book had me smiling a lot while reading it. I loved the passion both characters had for their jobs, but how that could also hurt at times.

On top of Jonah and Natalie being amazing characters, I loved the cast of characters that played alongside them! I definitely need more of all these characters and I will be picking up book one soon. Everyone needs people like these characters do. In all honesty, this was going to be a 5 star read for me until the last few chapters. I always expect some angst or drama, but to me the turn of events felt too obvious and I would've liked to have seen that differently. I just hope we see more of them, because of those events, we're not really sure what's going to happen.

All in all, a fast and fun read. I really enjoyed the friendship, humor, love and even the steamy moments. I know other fans of medical dramas on TV will love this book!

Natalie and Jonah snuck up on me. I thought I had them pegged from the very beginning, and I wasn’t completely wrong, but there were enough surprises to keep me interested and invested in their story. We’ve seen this a million times – the unrepentant manwhore and the virgin – and I was initially torn on whether to even keep reading. Honestly, I’ve been inundated with virgins recently, and I don’t know where they’re all coming from. But I kept going, and I’m so glad I did.

Natalie and Jonah were BFFs who end up as roommates while Natalie’s apartment is undergoing some repairs. But it’s ok, because they are absolutely, 100%, in no way, attracted to each other, so it’ll be fine. Their relationship will stay exactly as it is. There will definitely be no shenanigans, and no one will develop feelings beyond the already-settled friend love.

Natalie is a pediatric surgeon, and Jonah is a trauma surgeon, so there’s a lot of heavy shit they have to deal with in their day-to-day lives. They both balance it out nicely with a lot of off-work goofing around, and their friendship is solid. And they communicate with each other, which is something else I wish I saw more of. None of the issues they had to deal with were due to miscommunication or flat out avoiding talking about anything.

If I had to nitpick anything, I’d say that Jonah’s constant, and I mean constant, musings about how he’s not the guy for a long-term relationship began to grate. It was so much. He barely completes a thought without tacking it on there somewhere. “Jonah thought he wanted pizza for dinner, but leftovers were too much of a commitment, and he’s not a long-haul guy.” (No, that’s not an actual line from the book) At one point, he and Natalie have a discussion/argument where he lays out his completely honest and authentic opinion that the last movie he saw, in which the main character fought an entire fleet of aliens alone and beat them, was more realistic than When Harry Met Sally, because that’s not how relationships work. It’s… a lot. He prefers one-night stands. We get it. It doesn’t need to be in every single thought and conversation he has.

But that’s really my only quibble with Better Than Me. I really enjoyed seeing Natalie and Jonah navigate their way through this new facet of their relationship and figure out how to be with each other. The breakup didn’t go as I expected, either, and was even more heartbreaking than I had expected it to be. How everything went down showed me just how far each of these characters had grown as a result of being with each other. The epilogue sets up the next book nicely, and I’ve already preordered it because I really want to see the rest of the crew at Remington Medical get their HEAs.

5 Star Review of Better Than Me (Remington Medical #2) by Kimberly Kincaid

Kimberly Kincaid is a new author to me and I have absolutely no idea why that is. This story had me engaged from the first chapter until the last, in fact I couldn’t put it down.
This is a friends to lovers story featuring Dr. Jonah Sheridan (a.k.a. The Orgasm Whisperer,) and his best friend, Dr. Natalie Kendrick.

When Jonah comes to the rescue of Natalie and allows her to stay at his apartment, he has no idea how his life is about to change. Even though Natalie is immune to Jonah’s charms, he is not as immune to hers which makes for major complications in their friendship.
Forced to live in one another pockets the chemistry between them builds despite them both trying to deny it. The fact that Natalie is off limits to Jonah just adds to the intensity of his feelings. The genuine friendship between them was sweet and as it morphs into love it was interesting to watch them both struggle to get a handle on their feelings.
Jonah is smoking hot and has a brashness about him that I really enjoyed; Natalie is a perfect counter to him with her sweet and generous nature.
There was plenty of humour, chemistry and emotions that made this story one heck of a read and the secondary characters were also well written and interesting. This may be my first book by this author, but it won’t be my last..

One click on release, you won’t be disappointed.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, pain, and heartbreak.

The below are part of this series if you want to read those books(s) first
Back to You (Remington Medical #1)

This is Natalie and Jonah’s story. She’s off limits and he should be chanting that every time he sees her but that is still not going to stop him from looking. Eventually looking is just not going to be enough. She is staying with him and sleeping on his couch, so temptation is too much. Working and living together will have them both falling. But he’s not made for forever, is he? Can he build a future and if so, will his best friend approve of him with her? Or will he end up losing both?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

OMG, I literally could not put this book down. I truly enjoy all of Kimberly Kincaid’s books, but Jonah and Natalie have stolen the spot as my favorites,

Jonah, who is sexy as hell, (that’s how I picture him) and has lots of snarky comebacks to his peers and his best friend, Natalie. And Natalie, with her sweet and generous spirit, is just adorable and you can’t help but cheer for her to get her HEA.

This story literally has it all..... wit, humor, laughter, angst, and plenty of sexy-time.

Truly a best friends to lovers romance. Jonah and Natalie go through it all along with their best buddies from Remington Memorial. The storyline catches you up on a few characters from Back to You, but not in enough detail to take away from Nat and Jonah’s romance. They remain front and center in this story.

Never have I been a fan of medical drama. However, every once in a while I'll take a risk and try one on for size. Kincaid, after all, is a temptation that is not to be missed. Better Than Me proved a pleasant surprise. Heart, humor and hormones battle it out to see which one will end up on top. Jonah and Natalie put their friendship on the line and discover that when it comes to happily ever after, some things are worth waiting for. Went in a skeptic and came out a winner.

I absolutely loved this book! Natalie and Jonah are so great together both in friendship and in love. This story was both sweet and sexy. Each one is struggling with their own issues, but they figure out sometimes it is better with someone else to go through them with. You will not be disappointed with this book, or anything Kimberly Kincaid writes.

There are not enough words to tell you how amazing this book was! Natalie and Jonah story was everything I thought it would be and so much more. This book had me laughing and crying, it was abit of an emotional rollercoaster! With some familiar "faces" appearing along the way and a sneak peak into who the next book in the series is about this is another must read from Kimberly.

“I’m here with you.”
“I have you.”
“I promise.”

Better than Me is the second fabulous installment in Kimberly Kincaid’s super-sexy Remington Medical saga set in North Carolina. It’s a wonderful contemporary romance and an addictive medical drama that any layperson can relate to. Better than Me works perfectly well as a standalone if that is your preference. That said, the first book, Back to You, ranks as one of my favorite stories this year. Believe me, you want to read it! This is Dr. Jonah Sheridan’s and Dr. Natalie Kendrick’s friends-to-lovers’ tale.

Jonah, aka the Orgasm Whisperer, and Natalie are best friends. As the story opens, a remarkable accident has occurred at Natalie’s lodging. It seems that the amorous couple who live above Natalie were preoccupied and didn’t notice their bathtub overfilling until it broke through their floor to Natalie’s below. Natalie’s abode is a disaster zone requiring that she find temporary lodging while repairs are made. Jonah enjoys his solitude and is reluctant to allow Natalie to stay on his couch for the six weeks it will take to put her apartment back together. He finally acquiesces only asking that Natalie comply with a few stipulations to ensure that their platonic friendship remains intact while they live in such close quarters. Those include no holiday romances on his television (with Christmas only a month away) and no bras on the shower curtain rod. It’s only for six weeks. What could go wrong?

I love this couple! Their chemistry is off the charts! They are both excellent, caring surgeons. Even as their relationship slides into intimacy, their friendship remains solid. No matter what, they always have each other’s backs. Nat is an optimist believing in love while Jonah doesn’t believe in love for reasons he’s kept to himself. Originally, I badly wanted to shake Jonah, later I wanted to shake Natalie harder.

Following please find a few of my favorite lines from Better than Me:

“I believe in the kind of love where you give the other person the last bite of cheesecake without thinking twice. Where you laugh when they’re happy, and you ache when they’re sad. Where you’re not two halves making a whole, but two wholes making something bigger, that only the two of you can make.”
---
“Hey, size matters, sweetheart.”
---
“I’d bet that the average person is probably far more likely to see Bigfoot riding a unicorn than to find happily ever after,” he said.
---
“Make no mistake, Natalie. The only thing I want tonight is you.”

I thoroughly enjoyed catching up with the staff at Remington Medical most especially Charlie and Parker, the couple from the previous book, as they participated in moving Jonah’s and Natalie’s story forward. I was thrilled to see courageous, young cancer-fighter Annabelle return in this installment with Rachel, her Mom. When Annabelle likened Nat to a goddess and Jonah to a Disney prince, I couldn’t help smiling. Fans of Kimberly’s Station Seventeen series will enjoy the occasional appearances of some of its hot firefighters.

Kimberly’s books have quickly become must-reads for me. Better than You had me alternately laughing-out-loud and swiping tears. The ending will leave you happily sighing for days as it brings home that we are not islands and are stronger together. Even in periods of adversity, we must open our hearts to love and to our friends.

The third book in the series, Between Me and You, is scheduled to be released later this summer. The epilogue to Better than You includes a teaser that’s already ensured that I’m counting the days!
