Volunteer Opportunities available:
APARTMENT SET-UP - Help create a home for newly-arrived families by delivering and setting
up furniture or Welcome Kit items to refugee apartments. On-site training; pool
opportunity.

TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANT - Meet new people and help transport refugees to important
classes, trainings, jobs or appointments.  You can even greet newly arriving refuges at the
airport and orient them to their new home!  30-min training; World Relief vehicle driving
test.  Additional Coaching Training for Airport Pick-Ups.  Pool opportunity.

RESOURCE GATHERING - Help provide for the most basic needs for refugees - household items
for Welcome Kits! Collect other items families need: winter coats, car seats, diapers, Uber
cards, backpacks and school supplies.  No Training required; pool opportunity.

FINANCIAL SPONSOR - Support financially BCC/World Relief initiatives (i.e. Welcome Kit,
Enrichment Team). In-kind donations can also be accepted, please contact Nick below for a
list of acceptable items.

PRAYER SUPPORT – Become a prayer partner for general and specific need of refugee families.

FRIENDSHIP PARTNER TEAM - This opportunity would be for a group of 3-4 families/individuals
to work as a team to build a relationship with a newly arrived refugee family.  Being a
Friendship Partner includes simply spending time together, sharing family
events/celebrations, and helping support the family as they get their feet on the ground in
America.  This is a reciprocal relationship where love and respect are equally given. This
level of engagement requires completion of the World Relief application, background check
and extended Friendship Partner training. We ask for a 6-month commitment in order to
provide refugee families consistent friendship and cultural empowerment.

FAMILY ADJUSTMENT IN-HOME TUTORS - This is an opportunity in which you partner with a
family to support them in their educational and social development. In this opportunity, you
support both the child and the parent in advocating for educational growth. 1.5hrs/week
for 4-6 months.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE TRAINING (ESL) AID - Refugees and immigrants arriving in the U.S. come
with a wide variety of educational and linguistic backgrounds.  Some have no formal
educational experience and come eager to learn basics like how to use a pencil and
introduce themselves in English. This opportunity would help assist in teaching adult
refugees or assist in caring for refugee infant or toddlers while their caregivers attend ESL class
