Altenew November 2018 Stencil/Ink Spray Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

by Zinia Redo

Hello crafty friends! Today we are celebrating an amazing new release of stencils and ink sprays by Altenew. I really love the Altenew ink sprays so I’m really thrilled that we are finally get some new colors in this line.

Make sure to read all the way through for all the giveaway details and of course visit the Altenew Card Blog.

So for this blog hop, I created a couple of cards using my favorite products from this release.

Altenew November 2018 Stencil/Ink Spray Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

The first card I created is featuring two amazing stencils, Flowing Butterfly and Sunburst. First, I used some blue ink shades to create a soft background with the Sunburst Stencil. Then I sprayed some Mountain Mist and Lagoon ink sprays though the Flowing Butterfly and fussy cut around the designs to create a big layered focal element.

Altenew November 2018 Stencil/Ink Spray Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

My second card is a really simple and easy design that makes the stencil pattern shine. I used the Beveled Squares Stencil to create an ink blended ombre background. I lightly misted the background with water to make the ink bleed around a little bit and create a more messy impression of the design. Then I die-cut the word “you” using the Mega You die and backed the opening with a dark purple piece of paper.

My third and last card is using the leftover “you” piece from the card above. This time I worked on a blank base and I created a slightly messy background with some ink splatters from the new Altenew Ink Spray colors. To make my “you” die-cut stand out better, I went over it with a light coat of Cosmic Berry Crisp Dye Ink.
