You Really Stand Out

Hi friends! I hope you're having a great day! I wanted to remind you to play along with our monthly challenge at Poppystamps. This month the challenge is "Look Out The Window". We want you to add a window to your card - that could be an actual window die, or just a die cut opening that you turn into a shaker, or a frame. It could also be interpreted as a scene type card of what you see out your window - maybe a Spring Scene? My card today is a scene that I'd love to see out my window.

Crafting is my sweet escape. I love that I can go and see anything I want anywhere in the world without ever leaving my craft space. It's a place of my imagination where it's all possibilities without limit.

My safari scene was made with the Whittle Racing Giraffe kit. If you haven't seen the "kit" options at Poppystamps, they're worth a closer look. The kit includes several dies to make a scene card as well as a mini stamp set with appropriate sentiments. This kit contains 5 different giraffes, a tree, clouds and a race car!

It was easy to add the spots to the giraffes with markers. The die embosses the giraffes with a pattern so you can see exactly where the spots should be. I cut three tree tops and stacked them so that my tree looks much fuller, I added some Layered Pointy Petal flowers to complete the scene.

I couldn't resist adding some silly eyes to help bring the giraffes to life. Their necks are so long they look like their heads are in the clouds! The background is a simple Distress Ink blend.

I hope you're having a great day! I'm happy to share a card made with the latest collection from Pretty Little Studio called "Good Vibrations". This collection is bright and bold with a focus on positive messages.

I like the touch of whimsy - hand drawn flowers, crayon colored stripes and handwritten sentiments in contrast with the straight lines of ledger paper, checkerboard and other prints.

I love the rainbow colors that you will find throughout the collection including the papers, borders, stickers and mixed font sentiments.

But the very best part of this collection is the positive messages that will let the recipient know that you have complete confidence in their ability to shine!

Cherry Cupcake Birthday Shaker

How about a yummy treat for us to share today? The Pink & Main Cherry Cupcake is just the thing! I've paired this new stamp set with some sparkly goodness to make a fun shaker!

The latest release from Pink and Main has me saying I want to "Shake it All". With 28 confetti shaker colors and new shaker covers the hardest part is deciding what colors I want to use!

The Shaker Covers are so easy to assemble, just pull off the protective coating, add a teaspoon of confetti, and then insert your background (I used a foiled spotlight) panel into the cover. The sides have adhesive strips along the four edges that you just fold over to seal the shaker. I love that this is a flat shaker that makes mailing super easy! I used the Small A2 Shaker cover that fits perfectly over the Zig Zag Rectangle die cut.

The Birthday Sentiments Foilable Cut Ups are a new favorite. I foiled the whole pack (there are 60) of sentiments with gold foil so they're ready to use. You can customize these foilable sentiments by adding your favorite foil color.

 

I wish you could see this one in person! The sparkly confetti, shimmery gold, and bright colors make it a feast for the eyes!
